Post by jonny on Jun 30th, 2004, 7:47pm

How many have you been to?

This could be of help to people coming for the first time if they know who they can turn to for answers to simple questions from oldtimers.

There are more first timers than ever this year folks.....Lets help them out if they have any question ;;D

Ill take all questions.

..........................................jonny ;;D

Opps edit, I give great tips on how to moon a whole city ;;D

This'll be my first..

Here's my question, Jonny.

If a half-pint makes you half tight, does a whole pint make your hole tight?

Sincerely,
-Big Dan ;;D

First convention for me.

I'VE STILL NEVER MET ANOTHER 'REAL' CLUSTERHEAD.

I still meet people from time to time that say things like .. "Oh yea, I had clusters once" ... or   ... "I know exactly how you feel. My migraines are horrible". Makes me wanna poke their eye out !

Only you guys know what I mean !

Do y'all suppose that next year if an old Canadian broad showed up she'd be welcome? :)

I envy you guys - it sounds like it's going to be so awesome to be together like that.

I hope you all have the best time and I can't wait to read all about it when you get back.

This will be my 1st convention and Leesa's second. Problem is I have no freeken clue where the convention is or even how to get there. So my question is how do we get to the convention?

Second is who is in charge of the beer runs? I heard there is this guy who made them in some town called hotlanta. Will he be making them again?

Do I need to bring a suit and tie or can I just run around in jeans and  a tee?

Just a few things I thought I would ask?

Some smart a$$

1st was Vancouver, right then and there I vowed to NOT miss another one.  Even hubby dares not argue or complain about money going toward the conventions, he saw how much it meant to me.
2nd was New York.

To all those who are first timers meeting other clusterheads for their very first time. Don't be surprised if you feel overwhelmed at the beginning. Happened to me last weekend after twenty years of CH I met lots of other sufferers in London. I could'nt speak for fifteen minutes [not a bad thing some might say] but left feeling inspired and uplifted. Hope you all have a great time!!!

   All the best Filbert

Last year was my first convention.  A totally awesome experience since I had never met another CH'er before.  It was the first time I got to witness someone getting hit.  It made me realize what our supporters have to live with.
I am sorry though that I missed out on throwing my beer tabs down Jonnys pants.  I'll make up for that this time.  ;)

Anyone know how clean the ground is at the airport?  I will be kissing it shortly after landing.  :-/
Scared shit of planes Suzy...

The first time I saw some one else getting hit was at davcon.  It broke my heart.  I some times wonder which is the heavier cross to bear, that of the sufferer or that of the supporter. :-/

Fuckeneh Davcon '04 rocked! That was a very cool way to spend a winter weekend.
Hate to hear about the cycle going on Gena. Hope it doesn't blow your experience. At least you'll be surrounded by a WHOLE BUNCH of people who understand.

Also the first time I've seen someone getting hit and I agree T it was heartbreaking and just left me feeling so helpless. As hard as it was to witness though I remember DJ saying that he thought it was something we all should see and I agree w/him.

2nd one for me, but first time hosting. First was HOT lanta it was the KICK ASS. Seein someone eles get hit does break your heart. I saw one of my all time favorite CHer's get in HOT lanta and talk bout move. Never seen folks move so fast in my life! The "family" here moved in and took care of the one gettin hit! In a nano second they were gone to the room for Trex and O2. I missed DavCon  >:( but I wont this year if I can help it!
Meetin Cher's for the first time is a wonderful feeling that you will NEVER forget. The hard part is having to leave and go home. I cryed all the way home from HOT lanta. Being  a supporter is never easy but the one thing I take comfort in "this too shall pass" Thats the only thing that gets me through when Dave is being hit.
Its a BIG time to say the least and I cant f*cking wait!!!
R WE THERE YET?????????????

It will be my 2nd convention, I was in HotLanta. It took me 2 weeks to stop feeling sad after the convention.
It is so amazing to not have to EXPLAIN what it feels like.
I can't bloody wait.

P.S I did not try to run Elaine over with my car in atlanta, is it my fault that the silly woman steps in front of me without looking where she's going. Jeez, some people just love to bend the truth don't they. ;;D

As much as my supervisor hated it, I'm happy that I'll be there till Monday sometime before having to go back to the airport.  With as many of us that are going to be there, maybe that will be enough time to hug each one of you!!!  "Are we there yet..." just doesn't seem to fit right...I'm ready to start walking!!!!

This family is the greatest group of compassionate souls I could ever ask to know!  I'm looking forward to laughing, funning and crying with all of you!

Title: Re: Convention #?
Post by Peppermint on Jul 2nd, 2004, 10:08am
Well this will be my second one.  Maybe I will get to see my buddy Cris, who is the Ch'er who brought me to this place, if he drives up with KOP.  That would be something else.

Knowing you guys has given me a different perspective on certain things... and my first Convention in NY was QUITE an experience on many levels.  Before this I had never held someone's hand during a hit, didn't panic... but I sure was shaken up afterwards.  There were a couple special people there, ch'ers of course, who got me through that intense moment/week, ....you know who you are.

I wasn't sure about going back this year but Suzy would step on me if I didn't travel with her (she's a LOT taller than me  :P ) and besides, I want to see some of you again, and meet some of you for the first time, even if ya think I'm a little Goofy..  ;;D

Can't believe its already 2 weeks 'til.... I'm getting a knot in my stomach.  [smiley=worried.gif]

But HEY, its gonna be a great 5 days!!
