Title: Why I've ignored the convention... Post by ave on Jun 29th, 2004, 2:49pm and heven't posted about it at all, not even in response to Elaine's message a few days back. I hope all of you will understand. It hurts too much. When I went last year I knew I could never be there with you again. I thought I had resigned myself. But now the time draws near that you will meet again, and I am missing all of you more and more. The ones I met in NY and the ones I got to know on the MB and in chat. It was a mindblowing experience, being there in the middle of a posse of clusterheads, and maybe it was the more exciting because I knew it was to be just that one time. Couldn't you sort of tow America back towards the Old World? So that I would only have to take a short hop and be there, to hug you all again? Nah, I know it cannot be. I will miss you and miss you but I will be brave and even read the convention reports and check out the pictures. It gets lonely out here, sometimes. |

For me, I decided I needed a rematch this year and on my own schedule for a change. Anything to get me out of my house.
