Title: Hey gang Post by Carl_D on Jun 27th, 2004, 1:51pm Just wanted to let you guys know I'm feeling ALOT better. The pain started fading over the last few days, and yesterday when I woke up I was tripping out that I was actually walking normal again. The only time I've been getting hit with the CH's lately is when I am asleep. Only problem was, I was staying so tired and worn out all I wanted to do was sleep. Been shadowing heavy though. I'll take that anyday over the barrage of assaults from the beast. My sis in law said a couple of people had called to see how I was doing. She's been sending me food over, since I haven't been able to cook or anything. I'm getting ready to go over there right now, as I haven't seen anybody since my niece's birthday - and I miss them! I'll probably try to make it into HSG chat sometime later this evening or tonight. I want to thank you guys for putting up with my shit lately. I get frustrated pretty easily when I'm in pain. Still not for sure what caused this, but it looks like it's most likely Fibromyalgia (which I didn't think men got - lol, kind of like women don't get clusters. HA!) If this happens again though, I am heading straight for Barnes hospital over in St Louis, instead of this piece of shit Gateway Regional Medieval Center here in Granite. Peace, Carl D http://lt;a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'> |

I have two books on it about women living with fibro! But hey, we all know what those gender labels do for diseases! ;) Hang in there!!! Lizzie :) |

Glad to hear things are looking up CD! [smiley=thumbsup.gif] Beware of Barnes Hospital! BTDT....I know they've supposedly got a good reputation BUT anymore I wouldn't take my dog's to that place. It was 8 years ago yesterday that one of their hack neurosurgeon's ruined my left leg in during a back operation. I say fuck 'em, there's other Jim |

Title: Re: Hey gang Post by Gator on Jun 28th, 2004, 1:18pm Hiya Carl! So happy to hear from you again. Sorry about the fibro, but it sounds like you have a plan to deal with it this time. You start getting hit like that again, you carry your a$s to the hospital asap. I don't want to have to wake your sis-in-law up at 2:30 in the morning ever again. Not because of anything she said or did, but because of our concern for you. Tell your friend Chris we said thanks for the early morning message, but if he ever leaves anyone unsupervised with a potential head injury again, we will hunt him down and give him an injury of his own. Welcome back to the land of the living. We missed you. Gator |

That sucks... My mom had brain surgery there. Dr. Dacey was her surgeon. He's the head neurosurgeon for the hospital and also the head of the neurology dept at Washington University. He saved her life... But since the brain damage made her commit suicide, I'm not sure what kind of grade I'd give him... But she shot herself in the chest instead of the head, so maybe she thought he did a good job... I'm not sure... Still trying to figure that one out. Just try to stay out of the elevators though... I got stuck on one, and there are so many elevators there it took them an hour and a half to find me and get me out. [smiley=laugh.gif] |
