It has to be just me.....Some folks "Quote" otheres but there is no name to the quote.......This means you have to search the fucking thread to see who said it.

How about including ALL of the tags when you "Quote" so the damn name shows up?

Man, I dont know how I can get so pissed, have not even had a shadow in four months.....longest PF time in 30 years

Some may not know how, took me a while to figure it out, I found the 'put in quotes' button when creating a message but I just did not see the quote button on the posts themselves for a while.

Congrats on being PF!  :)

As far as the quotes go, I know how to quote someone from a thread, but I have no idea how to post multiple quotes with all the info that comes up when you hit the quote button. I  just know how to  post "quote" with no author showing.
Maybe if someone demonstrates how to do it... I could use a lesson.

Charlie after you hit the quote button the screen pops up with the persons thread.

You'll see a bunch of jibberish at the top paragraph. Don't erase that because thats what'll say SEAN C says blah blah blah

Try an quote me here, give it a go bud

There are two quote buttons, one in the toolbar of the message editor, but there is also a quote button on the upper right corner of each post in a message thread, even this one.

Open Word, Notepad or Works and copy and paste the quote there then you can paste it in your reply wherever you want it.

I just open a new tab for every post I want to quote, then hit reply and then copy paste them all into the one reply. If your browser doesn't support tabs then try Mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org/) or Opera (http://www.opera.com/). Using M$ Word to copy paste to can give you formatting errors, I use Abiword (http://www.abisource.com/) with no problem and the spell check works great.

That's all fine and dandy IF your Word or Notepad works. I got a new computer last January and at the end of April Word and all that M$ crap expired and can't be used until I pay for it again. Fuck Bill Gates. I think I'll take my computer and toss it in his pool.

  Don't waste a perfectly good computer, just get some free software for it. If you don't like Abiword or you just need an office suite then get OpenOffice.org (http://www.openoffice.org/). There is lots more where that came from on Sourceforge (http://sourceforge.net/).
When you ready to try a free operating system let us know, You can get some CD's sent to you if you don't have broad band.

The thing is Bob; when I decide to do a little more fancy work than usual on my images, such as a little cropping, etc. I see to it that my paint shop program thinks it's still March, 2004. It works for most PITA time-sensitive stuff. Takes a few seconds to change the clock but saves lots of money... 8)
