I was invited to the $500,000.00 MassCap stakes race today at Suffolk Downs. I was sitting in an owners box just 2 boxes down from the owners of "Funny Cide" (he lost) a Kentucky Derby Winner.

Got up to go get drinks, came back and there were two girls siiting in the box looking guilty like they just got caught. They asked if they had to leave. I said no there are a couple of extra seats.

She says "How do you get these seats?
I say " These are reserved for the owners."
She says "WOW.... you own race horses"

Being the upstanding guy that I am I immediately responded "Why yes....Yes I Do"  ;;D

I was hoping that picture would have gone the way of the do-do bird by now.   My mother thought that picture was just so special.  ::)  We honestly were "waving" at DJ.  He made us do that.

um, and just in case anyone's wondering....the reason that Jonny's picture is listed under that search criteria is that he won the 'horse's ass' trophy at our first ever Cluster Golf tournie in Vancouver.  I had that 'specially made for the day.  No idea who was going to win it but I figured we could find someone worthy.  ;)  BobP got a Tommy Pullmyfinger t-shirt.  Good fun was had by all.

She was Canadian so we gave her a folding chair in the stables.
