She's got herself off on the right foot and done real good.  Got some good values and focus heading into those teenage years.  Keep her challenged Redd.  She's a proud momma maker!   ;)

Them teenage years are a coming before we get looking too far ahead, that's challenge enough.
Just before going into seventh-grade, Sgt Peppers came out and changed my...what were we talking about.  Oh yeah, seventh-grade through senior years.  Uhhhh........uh...yeah, I went to school once too.  Nevermind.

Kevin I hear you loud and clear.  My son will be 14 soon, and I'll tell you his attitude could use a major adjustment from time to time, but all in all he's a terrific kid too. But the teenage angst is setting in for both of them.  (sigh)

Next thing ya know she's going to be loading slackware or Debian on your machine. PERL, CGI libraries a couple of gigs script file. Chating about hacking on the IRC. Putting together  virii, trojans and worms.
You're doomed Redd. Save yourself from the tears of remorse when she turns on you and goes bad. Turn her from the dark side. Lock up the little monster now before its too late.

Your daughters accomplishments are yours too.  It speaks to the way you've raised her.  Job well done!  As to your boy - not to worry - been there, done that, and didn't have to kill him after all!!!!

I believe our kids come back to what we've raised them to be and even if they stray for a while - they will come back.

Congrats to you and your daughter.  Carol

That's great Redd. Ignore the naysayers, especially jonny. Methinks he's sniffed too many welding fumes.

:D Congrats Redd. Your daughter sounds like a winner.

And guess what..........she's a Geek! With brains and talent!  ;;D

That's a good thing. She'll be ones of those that gets her Masters or Doctorate degree and make lots of bucks.

The "popular" girls will be flunky's and living alone in a trailer the rest of their lives. Being the Captain of the football team, the BMOC or the head cheerleader may be fun in high school but it just doesn't help in the real world.
