Hi all!

I've missed you lately although I"ve tried to look in on things a couple of times. Two things from today though that I have to share with my family.

First, Linda, my wife, went into Loyola Hospital today for surgery to remove a large cyst. Every thing worked out right, and it was BENIGN! ;;D [smiley=thumbsup.gif] That was definately an answer to prayer, and I am grateful.

Second, Robert, my 18 yr old son enlisted in the Marine Corp today! This is a fulfillment of a dream he has had since about 1 or 8 yrs of age. For now he will serve in the Reserves while he is attending college. He then plans to go active and possibly put in for OCS. The really funny thing about it is he had trouble getting in because he was home educated. They didn't want to accept his schooling even though his scores on the Iowa Basic Skills test and the ACT were both well above average. When he took their test today he scored 97 out of 99. The average in in the low 50's. The recruiter himself only scored a 60. Am I bragging? Without a doubt!!! ;;D

Howdy jc. Good news all the way around for you, huh? I am happy to hear the cyst was benign. You have every right to be proud of your son. He sounds like an intelligent and conscientious young man. I wish you and all your family the best.
