Well this is pretty wonderful!!! Congrats to you all who participated to get this article out there.  :)

Just one thing though - for some reason, this statement doesn't sound right...  [smiley=huh.gif]
 "Raising blood oxygen levels relaxes constricted blood vessels, providing quick relief."

I can't remember exactly how oxygen works.  If I remember correctly, the body recognizes there is an excess oxygen level and therefore constricts the blood vessels to attempt to regulate the 02 level.... constriction, not relaxation, I believe is the key.

I could be wrong about the way 02 works... :P

Just wondering, but I have to say, best human angle story with good info I've seen on clusters YET!

  Yep Pep, that is the only thing that I noticed about the article that was a little misleading, but what a great article it was.
   Yes, the way a Dr explained to me years ago was that the blood vessels are dialated during an attack. The high flow of pure 02 hits the brain and the brain says, whoa (didn't know the brain said that did you) and constricts the vessels to regulate it.

And I bet it was fun to do.  Once you get a clusterhead talking, it's hard to shut them up.

LOL! I explained it in grimmer terms than what she actually quoted, but at least she got the gist of it. Off to gobble down a bottle of Advil...  ;;D
