Title: I want to tell you all something! Post by Elaine on Jun 4th, 2004, 9:35pm You all know by now I am at the age where things just make me cry. Its a good cry a sad cry at times. I have always cared so much about the people here and in the five years I have been here, I have become close to hundreds of people. Some have gone on to other things and we don't think they are here any more. From time to time I hear from someone who I dont see post any more. Some times I am ashamed I can't find the time to email and call every wonderful person I have met here. I can tell you I don't forget. I got a email today from a Old Timer just a very short note and he/she ordered a cap. When I saw the address s0 many wonderful beautiful memories came to me. Not everyone can stay here and not always for a bad reason. If you have friends that have gone some where and you can't find them. Let their memories take you back from time to time. I love OUCH, I will always believe it will take us far. The support you guys have shown by the donations , the time given, the people who couldn't help money wise they help in other ways even just bumping a fundraiser is a needed thing. Just a email asking to help is so wanted and needed ! I stand up and applaud you guys! I think ya'll are wonderful! You guys rock and I just wanted ya'll to know it! I am taking all this mussy stuff and going to bed now. |

Title: Re: I want to tell you all something! Post by Simon on Jun 5th, 2004, 9:04pm Just because we don't get in touch as often as we should, it doesn't mean we don't think of you. Your ability to keep cheerful despite all that life throws at you is something which I constantly admire. I've only heard three voices "in the flesh" from the States - yours, Drummer's and UKFlyer's (whatever happened to them?!) Yours sticks in the mind as it was the deepest and sexiest of the three! :) Chin up! Dolly |

Title: Re: I want to tell you all something! Post by Simon on Jun 6th, 2004, 2:05pm Dogs doing fine E - they love the move to the seaside; walks on the beach most evenings. Am teaching again now in a sleepy little place called Hunstanton - holds the distinction of being the only resort on the East Coast which faces West - glorious sunsets. Bad floods here in the 50s killed several Americans, but also produced several US heroes, still remembered for rescuing inhabitants. Was remembering the other day the filming of me typing on HSG chat for the documentary. Windows blacked out and dressing gown on at lunchtime to create nocturnal CH effects (as well as signet ring turned round on wrong hand - I was supposed to be MOB). Also sheep deliberately on the tie... When they were interviewing me, the shot out of the window included the local power station (very romantic view!) - a great favourite of my step-grandson. When he came in one day as the video was on he ran up to the screen, ignored me and shouted out "power station"! I know my place. Baa Dolly |
