Title: Prayers for our soldiers..... Post by nancyc on Jun 4th, 2004, 11:21am My son just left to go to Sea Island, Georgia Summit where the National Guard has been dispatched to protect the President and the world leaders coming in.....Please send up your prayers for our kids and leaders that will be attending...security is extremely high at this meeting ..They say this is one of the meetings they fear terrorist may strike...but I am believing this is one meeting that GOD will strike the hearts of all the world leaders and our President to find World Peace! My heart was overjoyed Ree to see Sean is home with you now...it has been so nice having mine back home with me....Forgive me for not being around but I have some health issues going on right now and things have been pretty stretched here...But, not one night goes by that you guys and gals are not in my prayers....I love you and truly miss you all, smiles, nancyc |

Title: Re: Prayers for our soldiers..... Post by Jeepgun on Jun 4th, 2004, 12:55pm I don't believe that world peace will ever happen, nor do I think God designed this "schoolhouse" to ever experience world peace, but I do hope that each of these leaders comes together in the spirit of cooperation and harmony. Prayer... If one team on one side of the field is praying, "Please God, let us win!" and the other team on the other side of the field is praying, "Please God, let us win!" do the prayers cancel each other out? Does God pick a side? No one would like world peace more than the United States. The fact of the matter is, we are at war; not because we chose it, but because it was thrust upon us on September 11th, 2001. May God's abundant blessings be unto whomever has a heart open enough to receive them. -Frank |

Title: Re: Prayers for our soldiers..... Post by Cerberus on Jun 5th, 2004, 6:04pm Prayers and Vibes to all who serve in protection... This meeting is not a peace summit, in fact it is more like a meeting of leaders deciding on how to pay back the U.S. for loans they have borrowed or owe to other nations. I think its called a G-8 summit or some shit. Unfortunately this also means little, since none of the countries involved are really bringing anything "new" to the table this time around. The U.S. is definately not going to relieve anyone of their debt during a war. And all the others are paying so much money back to us that they are struggling economically. For Example...Africa is paying us something to the tune of 3-30 trillion dollars a year for money the U.S. has loaned it....funds that could certainly help bring that continent a little more "up to speed" if they didn't have to pay it....not going to happen....sad but true. In any event...Peace to all attending. RAmon |
