Title: YeeHaw! Ride 'Em Cowboy! Post by Gator on Jun 2nd, 2004, 3:36pm Nasty weather moving through. 60 MPH Dust Front, 80 MPH Straight Line Winds, Golf Ball sized hail and killer lightning. Another front developing behind that one. My boys and I were working in the yard when the dust front passed by. Almost knocked my boys down. It was awesome. Great big brownish wall of dust moving at 60 MPH. Got the hatches battened down now and am watching it on the computer and tv. For those of you in Oklahoma, don't you just love it how when the OKC Metro area is threatened, the channels go into constant coverage. Before and after the metro is threatened, they just pop in once in a while and update us. Pig fu@&ers. Gator Ridin' the Wind!!! |

Title: Re: YeeHaw! Ride 'Em Cowboy! Post by Renee on Jun 2nd, 2004, 10:19pm Gator, Your storms are here, just north of big D now. Two nights in a row now and we still have 300,000 people in the D/FW metroplex with no electricity from last night's storms and many roads closed and flipped over planes at the airports, etc. etc. Even had a 737 jet turned the other direction last night. Sure wish I could see the sky! [smiley=huh.gif] Renee |

Title: Re: YeeHaw! Ride 'Em Cowboy! Post by Jeepgun on Jun 3rd, 2004, 9:42am Wow!! Be safe!! We had a tornado touch down less than fifty miles from my house, a week ago. I drove over the ridge tonight and saw the ripped up trees, mangled homes, and wreckage still strewn everywhere... It looked like a bomb had gone off. Be safe, take cover when you're supposed to, and have your emergency kits stocked. |

Title: Re: YeeHaw! Ride 'Em Cowboy! Post by Gator on Jun 3rd, 2004, 1:21pm We made it through at my house with just some branches knocked out of trees, no real damage here. Different story in Stillwater and other places. Lots of people without power and some major damage to buildings. Yes, I am smart enough to stay indoors, hell we have a storm shelter in case schitt gets really bad. Renee, Roxy, Leesa sorry you got hit, but glad you're alright. KOP np man. Heck, I jumped in and posted mine without looking, too. Thanks for all the wishes for safety. We did just fine. Now, I got to go out and clean up all the fallen branches. With all the trees on my place, I got my work cut out for me. Well, the boys got their work cut out for them anyways. ;;D Gator |

Title: Re: YeeHaw! Ride 'Em Cowboy! Post by Renee on Jun 5th, 2004, 8:08am It's been several days and the D/FW metroplex still have over 100,000 with no electricity. and....forecase for the weekend is storms. nothing like waking to a ch and the dogs are going crazy outside to come in because of upcoming storms. trying to put a beagle puppy in a dog crate while having a ch is not a good way to deal with a ch. anyone want a beagle puppy? he is already neutered and has his shots. needs room to roam and lots of love. renee |

The storms came through again last night....my English Mastiff freaks out. Nothing like 200 lbs. of scared dog....she knocks the whole coffee table over trying to get under it. 8) |

I have the storm cellar all decked out with shelves stocked with water, some food, a battery powered radio, some flashlights and comfortable chairs. These things get any closer and I may just move down there with my puter. Gator |
