Title: Asking for good vibes... Post by Redd715 on May 24th, 2004, 7:54am Today I go and speak with my former firm to see if they may still have a spot open for me. My old position was eliminated, so I'd be doing something else totally if they do, but they can't fire me for being under a doctors care. So send vibes please, and pray if you do that as well, that maybe...just maybe they will offer me something with a salary at least close to what I had before. Not looking forward to 80 miles a day round trip commute, and hope they are willing to give me the time I need for my checkups with Pam. Big Big vibes please? Income again..that would be a good thing. |

On the job front, they are starting me again next tuesday...as a collector. :-/ But since I had been with them for so long I am not starting at the newbie salary, but at the higher one...so about the same in pay. Better commission scale too...so that is a plus. Bad news...I find in my mail box a letter regarding some credit card I supposedly owe some $8,000 + on. Can we say Identity theft? Now I have this BS to contend with.......just great! I haven't had a CC since 1996 when my divorce was final. Well this is getting checked out now...Made a few calls...gotta do some sloothing work..but I'm pretty sure I know how it started Well thats the update.... |

I did the same thing - asked if there were another position where I could still work even at a lower salary and still have insurance coverage and the whole package. Post by Redd715 on May 24th, 2004, 1:36pm Well it's not like I don't know what bills I have, and there are going to be more medical in collections since this cycle started and the office visits and the MRI etc...But any CC I've had, are either paid off, or if there was a balance on them would be way out of statutes by this time. Momma always said if it weren't for bad luck Pegg would have no luck at all. But did she have to be so damn accurate? >:( |

Do yourself a favor and get some face to face help with the identity theft problem. Don't drive yourself nuts over it. Get cops and others to do that. Had some creep lift my AT&T Universal Card number last summer and apparently sold it. Someone ran it up over $6000.00 in Paris, France. I got a call from AT&T investigative services about suspicious charges, they killed the card immediately and sent me a new one. Fortunately for me, it was no big deal. I got a bill with the phony charges, sent a copy back with them highlighted along with a form AT&T provided and that was the end of it. I guess Piere had a good time on my nickle tho. Kip |

You showed some real effort and got some results. Things will look better in time, you did a big thing. Gas will suck driving all that way but you're back in the job market.
