(reposted) Post by Opus on May 23rd, 2004, 3:58pm I originally posted this after I saw Cathi's thread "Zazi we need to talk" (http://www.clusterheadaches.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=general;action=display;num=1085160554) Because I became unclear of what was going on. After some time thinking and being asked to repost it I am doing just that. After learning more I added some additional to the end. I do understand that Cathi was asked to post the thread. Cathi, Normally I wouldn't publicly express how I feel about someone but since you did I decided it must be ok. Where is the Cathi I once knew, and met, and caught her boat for her. Where did she go? Is there something going on that has changed you so much. Somethings are good to have out in open like how horrible CH has made our lives, and somethings should be kept private between friends. If I feel something is wrong with someone I would ask them privately, if I heard something about someone I would go to them to confirm, and believe what they told me. We are here to support, discuss issues, fight and even flame, but we don't publicly tell people what they should do and when. There are a few things I could draw attention about you but I wouldn't because that would be wrong. Even if it is something critical like getting someone into rehab you would talk to them privately not post signs in the neighborhood telling everyone they are an addict. (added) People are also responsible for there own behavior and for there own care. If what they feel they needs differs from what others do that is there business. There is no reason to eat if you are not hungry, and if doing so results in being a weight considered healthy by doctors then what is the harm. Many could learn from this example. Also remember that CH messes up many systems in the body, sleep, nutritional needs, vials are all different during a cycle, imagine how much more so for a chronic. I for one live on coffee, and will skip a meal if it comes to having the energy to make coffee or to eat. Today I made myself a sandwich, then my wife said she was hungry so I gave it to her and had nothing. No big deal because CH I had later ruined any chance of getting anything done anyway. This is not a joke and what is happening to our Zazi can kill her much easier than depression or whatever we know. I hope you realize the severity of vomiting a lot! And we just want her to live. Cathy posted that because after a long chat she had with Zazi’s dad, she is worried for her. I am sorry if you are upset about that thread, but I agree with Cathy.......... it is only because each of us love Zazi and want her to be ok!! |

This message board does NOT have the resources to help someone with a eating disorder. I feel for you but if a friend of yours has that problem, there are people who can help her. Not here though. I saw this when you originally posted it, and I was furious then. You then removed it, and I was very proud of you. However, I can't help it. Being sixteen years old I have learned when or when not to talk freely and publicly. School is not a place to talk freely, especially about personal matters.
