Had a neuro appt. yesterday, she gave me Prednisone 10mg. I took six this morning with my breakfast.

Now my head is killing me and every joint and muscle in my body feels like it has been wound tight and is about to snap.

Is this normal and will it go away???? v

Gena,
Pred will make my joints hurt, especially my knees.
It'll also make you instantly fat >:(
It's some pretty scary stuff but it'll usually give me a few pf nights until I start tapering down then it's back to hammer time.

Hey Gena

Yep = Prednisone can do that - but you should call yer Dr and ask him if he wants you to continue taking it... or if you cant handle it..

I was taking a 100 mg and tapered down and it made me a little jittery and REALLY upset my stomach. But to me it was worth a little discomfort since it broke the first cycle I was in. THe second cycle it didn't work but it helped once so to me that was worth it.

I remember that stuff just killing my knees, and became puffy. I no longer use it. It, among other meds, have stopped working for me. (don't miss the knee pain however)
