Title: Contemplating the Limp Handshake Post by kimh on May 15th, 2004, 5:47pm I was driving home from the beach today when for no apparent reason i recalled meeting a friend of my daughters' father the other night...... so...........i recalled the handshake......................BLAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o It HITS ME SMAK IN THE OLE BRAINEROOSKI. The recollection of the "limp handshake" :o -- I almost hadda PULLOVER :o Now this thought is lingering..........why is it that this encounter with a "limp" handshake has disturbed me so???? If you all get bored of helpful information or are in need of a brief reprieve from other more important issues, i'd sure appreciate some input. Formal Question: Does shaking hands with someone with a "limp" hand gross you out? Perhaps more significantly, does its memory accost you while operating a vehicle [smiley=huh.gif] Stupfide |

Title: Re: Contemplating the Limp Handshake Post by Jayne on May 15th, 2004, 6:46pm because it feels as though the person who's "shaking" your hand, doesn't want to actually make real contact with you, in escence making you feel dirty. Or could be the fact that the person hasn't anything about themselves that they are so wishy washy...hence putting you off the person with the limp handshake. It makes my skin crawl when someone gives me that sort of a shake....eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww |

Title: Re: Contemplating the Limp Handshake Post by Charlie on May 16th, 2004, 3:09am Yeah. It's like someone shoves a dead perch in your hand. They are the ones who stand about 3 inches from your nose with something that really isn't a smile. Just odd is all. Charlie |

Title: Re: Contemplating the Limp Handshake Post by kimh on May 16th, 2004, 6:05pm Well thankya for the valuable responses. Here is my well-thought out conclusion: I think: (bombs away)..........that the individual with a limp handshake has consulted the "mirror mirror, ON THE WALL" who is his/her own reflection....I tink we should all be laughing against wind. Loud and MORE. ;) |
