Say an extra prayer tonight for Chrisopher and his family if you have time. They could really use it.

Christopher was put on O2 to help with the breathing (which is being obstucted by the cancer in his lung and the tumor growing) on Friday, but which is not really working. His mom said to me today, "We'll be having our last moments together that we can share tonight where Christopher will probably be conscious .... ".

At this point, I pray for an immediate resolve, be it life everlasting, or a miracle in healing. I no longer care which, as long as he does not have to suffer any more.

Nan, you know I hope for a miracle....whatever that miracle may be.
I am so glad you have had the time to be with Christopher lately, the driving lessons, the lunches, the quiet talks and the laughs. No matter where he is, I know he will always be in your heart.

Thanks for all the prayers. They have stopped the tube feedings for Christopher, and all his meds except the morphine and bowl movement meds. As we move into the last stages of living and dying with cancer, your prayers and support are very much appreciated. Thanks !

I never knew this young man, but I was happy to send a card a while back along with the rest of you. I hope he got it and that it helped bring a little cheer. The people of this board have become like a family to me. Before logging in here, I had never wept for another's suffering. I would just say, "that sucks" or "that's too bad" and go on with my day and forget about it. I find myself now fighting back the tears as I read and try to post my deepest sympathy. I cannot fully express my sorrow for him and his family. I can only hope however it comes to pass, that Christopher's suffering is ended soon.

Please pass along my prayers and sympathy to him and his family.

You mentioned yesterday that you would be seeing Christopher last night and reading all the replies from the board to him. How did that go? What's his current status?

It's amazing how you can come to care for people you've never met. This board and the people in it are something special.

Christopher has been in my prayers always, but I have now said a special one for peaceful hours for him with those who love him most. My faith says he goes to a wonderful place where he will meet others who love him too.

I read that book when I was young and then again a couple of years ago. I carry the last words with me always..
