He airbrusted the guitar!! He's gonna put a purple irridescent topcoat on it.. it's gonna be COOL as Hell !!!

Guess what. They DO. My wife is a baker and cake decorator. She takes pictures of whatever you want and using some sort of printing machine, she makes a thin layer of edible icing out of your picture. It's pretty cool with airbrushing around the picture to match.

AWESOME !!! I think you could do good doin custom work on alot of stuff includeing motorcycles.........some bike shops have people that do there custom work for them once the people get there designs together......a freind jus did a custom job on a bike that looks like marble on the tanks, fenders ect........about a $ 1,200.00 job. Then he had someone else do the lettering the guy wanted and that was extra. Yer GOOD dude.......real good !! Still lookin for that design ta send ya for Brad's bike.......gettin ready for vacation and not had time to pursue it. But he may wait and talk to you in Nashvile.....he keeps gettin new ideas. Hey Ramon, IF you would do it, how much would you charge me to do my Fender Stratocaster? It's a cheap guitar but it works for me. It would become a prized posession if it had artwork like *that* on it.

Hell, I'd even find me a guitar more worthy if you'd do it.

Ramon... now tHat is HOT. Here you have all this talent in your hands.

Here's an idea for you. Is there a music "row" of shops in your area, or on a main strip? You could take samples of your work to those places and maybe offer a sample (like your refined finish guitar - high gloss?, or whatever) and some advertising (you could do that artwork too) at the guitar shops, or even other music instruments. In fine print, mention "also sketch artwork for tatoos, silkscreen, ad flyers, you name it" somewhere on the flyer.

If you have the time, you could develop this type of business on a startup website. Show your work. If you can do what you love, DO it!

Just an idea for ya.

That's a great job Ramon...

I have about 7 or 8 guitars...can't really tell since I keep one or two at my bands rehersal studio and my son tends to appropriate some of them from time to time...

While I tend to like plainer finishes (I have a natural Rickenbacker 650 and an old Fender Mustang that got it's finished raped) I know my son likes to have fancy finishes. He took an old black strat and replaced the white pick guard and pickup covers with black ones...looks slick.

The inventory:

2001 Rickenbacker Dakota 650 (6 string)

1986 Fender Strat (Japanese)

1996 Epiphone PR350 Acoustic (my main working guitar now)

~1978 Rickenbacker 4001 4 string bass

1992 Fender Jazz Bass (fretless; Japanese)

1966 Fender Mustang (has some Dimarzio PU's in it and really screams!)

2003 Ibanez 4 String Bass (my son's main axe now)

~1960 Gibson L4 Acoustic (Gibson couldn't even trace this one's history from the serial numbers on it; really my wife's guitar but I saved from certain death at the hands of her sisters son! :) )

Of all the guitars, I suppose that I'd maybe be willing to mess with the Jazz bass. I had to do some mods on the body to get at the truss rod easily, and screwed up and put a big pressure scratch on it from a black of wood I needed to use when clamping it to the work bench to do the routing work...not really noticeable but always felt like crap that I did that. Also, what once was a very pretty white finish is now somewhat yellowed. Always hated the electronics on this bass too...maybe someday I'll look into modifying it further.
