Title: Trex Vials/Needles or Injectors in Carry-On? Post by Rock_Lobster on May 1st, 2004, 10:39pm I have avoided air travel during this episode. Now that things have settled down, it is time to get back on the horse. Still, I plan to pack the tools in case the biatch is just taking a few weeks off. As I will only be gone a few days my plans are to check no baggage. So... what will my TSA friends say about either Trex vials/syringes or injectors in my carry-on? Heading to lovely Green Bay, Wisconsin. Thx in advance, Rock |

I once went thru the security at Philadelphia International Airport with DHE needles in my backpack because I forgot they were in there. They didn't even stop me... So much for the super mega post 9/11 security system! Lizzie |

Title: Re: Trex Vials/Needles or Injectors in Carry-On? Post by fubar on May 2nd, 2004, 2:06am Just went through security in London where they obviously spotted the inner-terrorist in me, and subsequently subjected me to a thorough search. They gave more scrutiny to my camera than my Imitrex injections. I'm sure people travel with insulin all the time. |

Title: Re: Trex Vials/Needles or Injectors in Carry-On? Post by forgetfulnot on May 2nd, 2004, 1:42pm The customs inspectors are strange dudes. Just got back from a week in Mazatlan, Mexico. while going through customs in Houston the inspector ignored my large ziplock baggie full of meds and asked my profession, I told him retired, then I had to fill out a form listing all of my previous employers. Weird. Trex inj. was a non issue. Lee |

I am sure once they see it is medical it will be fine. I guess it all depends on where you are. Good Luck |

HOWEVER........when we went to the m&g in Davenport in January.....on her departure from Davenport.....they confiscated her bottle of liquor. LMFAO.....she was a bit ticked, to say the least. They poured it out!!! :o Sure was funny....but sad in a way....Woobie had bought that bottle special, just for Tracey. :'( PF vibes, Jean |

Title: Re: Trex Vials/Needles or Injectors in Carry-On? Post by Samantha_Smith on May 5th, 2004, 2:07pm My best friend just flew from Burlington, VT to Pennsylvania last week with a ticket that had her maiden name on it (and she did not have any ID in her maiden name). They let her thru Burlington and Albany NY with no problem. Scaryyyyyy..... On the other hand---after the Lockerby, Scotland terrorist attack (way back when) my aunt and I were in the Heathrow England airport. I was a 17 year old skinny white American girl at the time and on vacation. They spotted me on one of their camera's, got security people on my a**, pulled me out of line, put my in a room and had a lady guard search me. I'd love to know what "profile" they were working off of when THAT took place! They never bothered with my bags. LOL.... frightening. |
