Post by Allerum30 on Apr 28th, 2004, 10:09pm
When I left the chatroom last night I last said that I was looking forward to another beast free nite.  I should of kept my mouth shut!!! >:(  I got hit at 5 am with a 7 on the kip and it lasted about an hour!!!!  then I got hit at 2 pm with a nine!!!!!  That one was straight out of left field!!!!  those are the ones I hate the most.  you go from everything's grand you think the cycle is at it's end and a minute later your on the floor.  that was my worst one yet.  Just needed to vent I think I've B*tched to the wife enough this cycle and since I just found our site I figured I can b*tch to you all thanks again for this site!!!!        Hope your day is beast free!!!

Sounds like you had a rough day, Scott.

Have you tried Melatonin?  Works for me and alot of others here.

Hope you have a better night tonight.

PF vibes,

Jean

Scott, before your doc appt be sure to read around.  Find the cure that your haven't tried here.  We have tried it all, and most some have found relief.  I myself use the Imitrex shots along with O2 while in cycle.  Both are great remidies that I found here.  Be armed when you go to the docs.  Have all the knowledge you can have, that is your amunition.

You can buy Melatonin at any drugstore..or Walmart.

I got the 3mg.  Had to increase from 1  3mg. to  1 and 1/2 of another.  (4 1/2 mg.)

Melatonin is a sleep aid.  I can't explain WHY it works...but it does.  I know that Melatonin is produced by the body while sleeping.  Maybe an imbalance????
Not sure....but it has helped alot of folks here.

Most of the folks here take around 9mg.  Also some have added Magnesium in addition to the Melatonin.

Check out the posts in the Med section.  There are several references there about Melatonin.

I am episodic.  I went on a Prednisone taper 7 months ago.  The Pred stopped my CH.  I was totally pf for 197 days.  Then I started getting a few ha's, decided to try the Melatonin, and it has worked miracles for me.

Good luck at the doc.......

Jean

Allerum30,

Don't let cootie kid ya.  She's better humorously suited for reading the intriguingly light-hearted manner of her posts than wiping your feet on her as you enter. ;;D

Her welcome mat gesture is though is a way of saying
here's a seat, there's the refrigerator, pet the kitty, couch folds out, bathroom's down the hall on the left.  Welcome too Scott.  I trust her crystal ball though, could have been welcome Matt in another life.

Bitchin'-R-Us... bitchin' cycles, aisle 2.

I don't think I met you either and I'm sorry you have to deal with this horror. One suggestion that has worked for some is very vigorous, even violent exercise. It affects circulation to which Ch is tied.  Here is the link to Simon's letter that is worth copying to give to others. It is the best we have to explain that this has nothing to do with what others think of when they hear: "headache."

Hope you have a better day and let us know how you're doing.

I can't help you but I feel your sadness and I'm terribly sorry. Think so, everything is temporary. I hope that you will be PF soon, best wishes and like my daughter says stay hard ;;D, Valentino

Welcome aboard Allerum30.  I am still in the experimental stages with preventatives, but O2 and Zomig Nasal Spray 5mg are what I am using for abortives right now.  Zomig rocks when the insurance company will come through for it.  Kicks the beasts ass 9 out of 10 times.
