Title: Rebound Post by Lizzie2 on Apr 28th, 2004, 5:52pm OK ok don't flame me....I already know I'm an idiot! I went and rebounded off ultracet trying to keep my NDPH down before my recital...and now the damn NDPH is very bad and nothing will help it! Dang it!! So...I wonder how long it takes to stop rebounding if I haven't taken an ultracet since yesterday and don't plan on touching the stuff ever again?? [smiley=bag.gif] [smiley=ohjez.gif] Moron Lizzie |

Title: Re: Rebound Post by jonny on Apr 28th, 2004, 5:59pm Not sure what that is but if its an abortive probably a day or so, if its a pevenetive then it could be a few days till its out of your system. Sounds reasonable to me ;;D Good luck ........................................jonny |

Title: Re: Rebound Post by Lizzie2 on Apr 28th, 2004, 6:01pm Thanks Jonny...it is a mix of Ultram (a narc) and acetaminophen. I didn't use it to help with CH cuz obviously it wouldn't...but it was helping me get by with the NDPH for a little bit. Oh well....somehow I knew if they gave me pain meds I'd mess it up!! Lizzie |

Title: Re: Rebound Post by Kevin_M on Apr 29th, 2004, 12:19am How ya doing now Lizzie. Skippin' classes. Hope I didn't influence you. You deserved it though after such a good performance. Can be habit forming. I had that habit and I couldn't kick it all during high school. Well, your rebound lesson came about 20 years earlier than mine. It took me a bit longer to learn than you. A painfully fortunate lesson rebounding can get you an elbow in the eye. Kevin M |

Title: Re: Rebound Post by Lizzie2 on Apr 29th, 2004, 1:07am Hey Kevin, Yea it hurts pretty bad. Ah well....this too shall pass. I have not taken any pain meds or abortives today....just used an ice pack and slept most of the day (unusual for me!) And skipping class....I learned how to do that starting my freshman year. ;) I only have 4 classes left and 4 final exams. Biggest problem with the rebound is that I don't know for sure if that's what it is or if the NDPH has just gotten a lot worse again. I took ultracet once a day, three times a week for 2 weeks. Doesn't really seem like enough to rebound off of, but maybe so. If my head doesn't get better off the ultracet, it's probably gonna take a hospital stay, but I don't have time for that with how soon nursing school starts... Got a neuro appt on the 10th. Guess we'll see... Lizz |

Title: Re: Rebound Post by Lizzie2 on Apr 29th, 2004, 9:22am LOL Thanks Nancy. I'm determined to have a sit down chat with my neuro on the 10th. Actually a friend is going to go with me who knows my doc very well so that I'm not as nervous about it because I'm going back to the doc I had problems with before. On my list of things to discuss is that I need to find someway to get through school without having to go back into the hospital. I have to stay out of that hospital until May of 2005 at least!! There is just no time for that during nursing school. So we'll see!! Longest I've ever gone without a hospital stay is like 6 months. heh Wish me luck! LOL Hugz, Lizzie :) |

Title: Rebounds stiRe: Rebound Post by BstnEagles on May 5th, 2004, 1:06am Rebounds stink.. hell they can be worse than the originals. If you use abortives on rebounds I find they come back.. I just try and sit it out. Sometimes a hot shower will help. PFDS Ed |

Title: Re: Rebound Post by Lizzie2 on May 5th, 2004, 1:09am Ed, Thanks for your message...i realized in the end it was some bad sinus stuff masking as rebound. Claritin fixed it up! Now if only fixing up the CH was that easy....... LOL Lizzie |
