I had to uninstall and reinstall Norton 2004, loaded a program called RegVac, which is a registry recovery program - had 137 errors to fix, and to top it off - ran Norton with computer in safe mode and discovered 4 trojans! 4 Fricken trojan viruses! Finally just got finished cleaning up the system, now I have to defrag.

As for myself, I went for over 24 hours without an attack, and then had to give myself a shot at 3am. Thank god for light days!

think this is one of the cases we have to start believe that maybe thr puters have a life of it own Carl

Just hate it when these things happens.

But see it from the bright side,You did have over 24hours in peace,so that should be worth something,or ? :)

Thanks for the hint, I think I have figured out why I am getting hit so much lately, since I have switched to Linux I don't have enough stress in my life. So maybe I can fix windows and then I will have enough stress to keep the beast away. Today was pain free, and what did I do, a lot of work in windows. I guess those crashes and reboots really are good for peaple. Tomorrow I will try to catch some viruses.

All kidding aside...Windows irritates me most of the time but fixing Windows problems puts food on my table and a roof over my head.

Kirk,
I asked my 9 year old daughter if Windoze is a virus, she said yes because it trashes your harddisk, I guess her A+ grades are for real. I once thought that too but I realized that most viruses work well. So windoze is a bug,

but didn't someone say " it's not a bug it's a feature"

It's part of my Quad boot system, but it won't boot anymore. I got hit this morning, so I ran windoze update on the laptop ( slackware is still downloading) and I am painfree now, but the laptop is still unpatched.

I think they should officially rename MS Windows to MS Migraines.................Crash and error Pam
