Title: Just spent 3 hours fixing a virus in my computer! Post by Carl_D on Apr 24th, 2004, 1:56am Caught the bastard with Norton, now have to figure out why my harddrive expanded with instead of 4.20 gig free, now I only have 2.3 gig free. Probably have to get my brother over here to figure it out. Eh, I hate machines! Oh well... back to reading... Carl D |

Title: Re: Just spent 3 hours fixing a virus in my comput Post by Karla on Apr 24th, 2004, 12:03pm Yeah that sucks. We have a hacker riding our machines on our home network. We have a firewall that keeps him out most the time now but sometimes it seems like he is still getting through. It is terrible my husbands harddrive was just grinding away all day and he wasn't even on his machine. Hopefully the firewall is discouraging whoever is doing this. |

Title: Re: Just spent 3 hours fixing a virus in my comput Post by Carl_D on Apr 24th, 2004, 9:09pm It apparently wreaked a bit more havock than I originally thought. My brother is coming over tomorrow to check it out. I got rid of the infected files, ran defrag, and now it is telling me there is a problem with Norton and I have to uninstall and reinstall. Grrrr. Peace, Carl D [smiley=crash.gif] |
