Title: I'm all choked up bigtime! Post by Carl_D on Apr 22nd, 2004, 9:07pm First Fubar offered to fly me to Nashville, then Jim Ham offered for me to ride with him and Sue, since they are right across the river from me. I just got news from Leesa that some anonymous person (she doesn't even know who it is) paid my registration fee. OMG!!! I am in both shock and awe. Usually my birthday is a dark time, and bad things either happen the day of or around it, but this year - OMG! Last week going to convention was just a pipe dream, being on a fixed income and all - I had no idea how it could happen, so pretty much had resigned myself to the fact i would have to miss another convention. THIS IS A BIGTIME DREAM COME TRUE FOR ME! I am saving up hugs to give to everybody!!! Barb D is getting a huge one, and so is Elaine! and Leesa! and anyone else who will be at arms length! Shedding great tears of joy and doing a snoopy dance, Carl D (who is gonna get to meet my extended family!!!) |
