Great idea!!!!!

Anyway, another idea that I had, and is already in the works is a lap quilt. Approximately 3'X5' in size and all handmade with the OUCH logo in the center square or something like that. My mother hand quilts and she makes the beautiful out of any material!

I would only offer these through the board - but will wait to post a picture after the first one is done.

What do you guys think? Something handmade - with an OUCH logo on it???

Anyway, I already have it in the process - so I hope this goes well! :-)

Please give me your input on this - I have a ton of ideas running around in my mind - besides all of the celebrity things.

And no one has come forward and given me any requests for autographs?

Need some input here please!!!! :P

HI!

Yes, I get a lot of sports celebrity autographs.

Linda - Don't dismiss the celebs. We ALL know that the real stars are all of the people here on this board - but the celebs can contribute a lot of worthwhile valuable things and raise a lot of awareness in area's where people do NOT know about CH and what it is...such as Ebay. When people bid (and they will), they will be curious to see where their money is going to and want to learn more. Who knows who could possibly ask the right questions. It could turn out completely positive!

So, all in all, it can and I have a feeling it WILL be a very good thing - in all aspects. Raising money for OUCH and raising awareness and support. ;;D

The lap quilts are a great idea. After my Mom died, my sister took years of scrap material that our Mom had put away, and made lap quilts for us and all my Mom's grandchildren.

They are beautiful! I was going to see if she wanted to make some for OUCH, but if you already have it in progress, I will wait.

As a member of the fundraising team, I would like to see Ramon (Cerberus) and Zazi donate some of their drawings to be auctioned. They are both extremely talented. Ramon, you said you had some drawings, but wanted to put them in some sort of cardboard frame or whatever. Lert me know what you need to get those ready....I will send you the $$ you need to fix them up, sweetie. These would be great to auction at the Convention. I think Zazi will be there at the Convention on Tuesday. I think Elaine was going to send her an email and see if she could bring some of hers.

Anyway, there's tons of talent here....and would be great to give these folks some exposure.

Wouldn't a quilt be COOL with everyones screen names on individual square patches that make it up and OUCH in big letters in the middle........ok ok I know.......stupid idea and impossible and WAY too much work but it 'SOUNDS' neat don't it ? Day dreamer Pam

Pam,

Juvy was trying to do an OUCH quilt. She had trouble getting everyone to send a square of material.

She asked for a swatch of material, and then on a separate piece of paper, list your name and where you were from. She was gonna embroider the names on the appropriate swatches and then make one big quilt.

Guess that didn't work out.....but yes, the lap quilts are absolutely great.

ooooooooooo, that'd be cool. Or one of those lined windbreaker jackets with the logo on the back and my name embroidered on the front. DAMN, now I wanna go and get one custom made! ;;D

I think we should all get OUCH tattooed on our butts. We could save money by having UCH tattooed on our right cheeks.
