I am having surgery tomorrow at 8:30-10:30 am. My day will be spent at the hospital recovering for a few hours and then I will be sent home to recover. I get to have my gallbladder removed due to the severe gallbladder attacks I have been having every time I eat. I have lost 30 pounds so far over this. I was scheduled to have the surgery done on the 22 but they called this am and asked if I could come in tomorrow for surgery since someone canceled thiers. I am glad I don't have to wait another 3 weeks. This pain is as intense as a cluster headache and I feel like dying everytime it happens. So I am afraid to eat anything. It will be nice having this behind me. My sons are home on spring break and will be taking care of me.

Hope all goes well for you, Karla. My mother and my mother in law both have had their gallbladder removed, and it is fairly simple as far as surgery goes. Afterwards, the post-eating pain will be gone!!

Oops.

I didn't catch this in time. By now you are no doubt out of surgery and awake. I had mine taken out 21 years ago. I felt the same way. Everything will be fine and I expect they'll use modern methods. Mine was the old fashioned way where they used a backhoe. It's a much less invasive procedure now, I'm told.

You know; there is a pretty good chance of a long CH remission here. Good luck kid.

Karla missed this post hope all went well with the op....at least now you'll be able to eat fatty food, and get waited on hand and foot, im sure you should be laid up and unable to do absolutely anything for about 4 weeks...yep 4 weeks...at least!!! PF vibes and get well soon wishes... ;;D

Hope all went wonderfully well.
My best mate had hers done last month and is now back on the choccies and feels great. She was a bit sore for a few days, but you're a clusterhead so it will feel like nowt to you!

She was told she was a prime candidate "Fair, fat and forty" she wasn't impressed!

I had to get up at 5:30 am this morning to make it to the hospital by 6:30. My surgery was ahead of schedule and went very well. I have 3 small insissions on my belly and am very sore. However, this is a breeze compared to the hysterectomy I had done 4 years ago. I am to spend the next couple days in bed resting. Thank you all so much for your kind words and prayers and vibes. It all means so much to me having your support. I just got home 1/2 hr ago. Long day.
