Title: Well It's Official I'm getting a new car
Post by Tiannia on Apr 5th, 2004, 1:37am
The Insurance company has finally decided that they are going to total my car. The claims guy said that to fix it - it would cost more then my car is worth.  ::)

The damage really does not look that bad from the outside, but the center post between the drivers front and back door was pushed in 9 inches.

Here is a link of my door.  And to think I was sitting on the other side of that door.  :-/

Anyway, now I am trying to get he bank to pre approve us for an amount so we can go get a new car. I am sick of tryng to cram me and two kids in the front seat of a truck.

PF Wishes guys.
-Tia

A Camry's good, expensive, but good.  I hear the Saturns are known for their safety.  If I could buy any car I want, I'd want a 2004 Pontiac Bonneville SSEI.  If I couldn't get that, I'd get a Subaru Outback.  Whatcha gonna get Tia?

:)mel

edited to change the SSEI to GXP, cause I guess that's what their called nowdays...sheesh

That does it. I'm grabbing a blade, and cutting yer filthy hair on arrival in Nashville. Then, I'm tattooing a "W" on each of yer buttocks, so when ya bend over, it'll spell one thing and one thing Only.......

BobG, a T-Bird?  Better make it a TA instead!  OR a 63 Stingray with a 327 small block, hard top and split rear window sounds good too ..............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................oh, sorry, my mind was wandering.

mel, you have good taste.  I didn't like the split window but that and '65 (I think the one Sam Malone had on cheers) is my favorite.

But Bob...............The Avanti...........the sexiest car ever made.  Whoa.  Haven't seen one in well over a decade, but remember it well!

$79,000 - $83,000
Not a bad price for a new 2004 Avanti.

http://www.cars.com/carsapp/national/?srv=parser&act=display&mknm=Avanti&mdnm=Avanti&tf=/features/2003overview/avanti/avanticar.tmpl

Better order today if you want it by Christmas.

A good boob job costs more then a new car....

We will stick with a Saturn. After the accident, I prefer safety to looks.

hubby wants Ion Coupe
http://www.saturn.com/saturn/showroom/ion/quad/index.jsp?nav=200&rot=45&col=elelime&rev=exterior
Green or Electric Blue - with the dual suicide doors - Has 4 bucket seats.
Starts at $18k for cloth seats $21k for leather. Leather = bad with kids.

If we cant qualify I'll make do with the Ion Sedan
http://www.saturn.com/saturn/showroom/ion/sedan/index.jsp?nav=100&rot=45&col=berryred&rev=exterior
Berry Red or Electric Blue - Beanch rear seat
Starts at $13k

Good choice Tia,

New design and great milage.

We got a little carried away there on cars, out of my reality anyway.   Thems classics have a short driving season here in MI.

Ions a good car for work and other running arounds ya need to do.

Sounds reasonable, hope things go ok for you.

If you're a homeowner,  home equity loans are only 4% and should stay that way for a while.  Raisin' the rates will stall the improving economy so it should stay reasonable.   Just a thought if it's an option.

Good luck Tia.  Take care.

Kevin M

*edit*
The less expensive  sedan seems a good deal for that
price.  Consider.  I think they're still made in TN.  Not bad styling.

Pretty cool car ya got there Tia!  I must say though, a red car here in Wisconsin is a deer & accident magnet.  I'm hoping to get a new car next year, since I didn't get one last year because we did the addition on our house.  Anyhow, hope you have no more accidents Tia!!  Gotta keep ya'll alive and well. :)
