Title: Fighting One more round with Paul Harrigon
Post by Turts on Apr 2nd, 2004, 6:28am
In order to begin this post, I will assume that any  Non Aussie will not know who Paul Harrigon is. Therefore i will introduce him.

Paul Harrigon is an Australian rugby league player, who had played for the same team for his entire career (12yrs), and also represented  State and Country in his beloved game. this man faced many physical adversities in his career. Many knee ops, career set backs and apparently clusterheadaches.

Paul Harrigon has written a Biography about his career and the set backs faced. This book named "The Perfect Day" is now MY motivation. I read this book eveytime that i am in cycle. It tells his story, but every chapter starts with a new MOTIVATIONAL speech that he has used. This is one I wanted to share as I refer to it often when i need help.

ONE MORE ROUND

When your opponent has got you beat
and you dont think you can hold out much longer
Fight One More Round

When your arms are so tired that you can hardly hold them up
Fight One More Round

When your legs are so weary that they feel that theyre going to buckle beneath you
Fight One More Round

When you have nothing left in you except the burning will that drives you
Fight One More Round

Even when you wish that your opponent would knock you out,
just put you out of your misery
Fight One More Round

Thus, the man who Fights One More Round

He will NEVER BE LOSE!!

Good post and it should be fun pursuing his story here. Glad you let us know about him in our pretty much rugbyless land. Makes one wonder how many like him there are.

Hope you are winning your own rounds as well.
