$1 Is all it takes . Everyone can come up with a dollar.
Look in the sofa, under the sofa on the closet floor, in the car seat. Ask a co worker for a $1 then tell them thanks for the donation to OUCH. Put them in a envelop and send that dollar to OUCH with a note that says Dollar Drive

Now a dollar from just half the people signed up would bring $3000. If you asked each of your friends for a dollar and sent it to it could double it.

I've got one of my biggest suppliers coming in for a meeting this morning. I'm going to ask him for $1.00.
We'll see how much he "appeciates" my business.... ;;D

I'll donate $1.00 for each of my sons, $1.00 for each of my beautiful grandchildren, $2.00 for myself and another $2.00 for my hubby.

This is a GREAT idea! I just made up an email to send to everyone. If anyone wants to use the same email, be my guest!! Just remember to change the name of who it's from and if you don't technically work for OUCH, don't forget to eliminate that part too. Anyhow, the email is below. :)

Hello!

Most of you know, that I suffer from an incurable disease called Cluster Headache Syndrome. I also work for a non-profit org. called O.U.C.H. (Organization for Understanding Cluster Headaches). You can visit the website here: http://www.clusterheadaches.org

Anyhow, right now we are holding a dollar drive, and I'm asking for your help! $1.00 is all it takes. Most everyone can come up with a dollar by looking in the sofa, under the sofa, on the closet floor, or in your car. Ask a co-worker for a $1.00, then tell them thank you for the donation to O.U.C.H.

Cash, money orders and personal checks are accepted. Please make any checks out to O.U.C.H., make sure to write the words "Dollar Drive" on the check and mail to:

um, the international crew...I had Turts paypal ME for Cerebus's painting...and I think he just put in $140 US money...then that just came to me by paypal.

So, I'm thinking that (if ya don't use paypal) that you should get a money order from the bank or post office and just tell them for "however many" US dollars...then send it onto the treasurer. It would probably be a HECK of a lot easier for everyone if the OUCH bank doesn't have to convert, lol.
Does that make sense?? :) (it's late...I might not be making sense :)

As Mastifflvr28 wrote, not all paypals operate for international exchanges, but we were able to find a way that works.
im going to get involved with this dollar drive, but I couldnt be bothered doing a paypal exchange for $1. (actually $1 aus is only 70c US but its better than nuffin)

However, I am going to see the GM or the HRM on Monday ( it is 9pm Friday night as I write this) and see about advertising this on the internal INTRANET at work and get the 320 people at my site to throw in a buck and even get other sites to participate.
Theres about 2000 people within the company. Lets say they are all tightarses and only 10% participate. Thats $200. Not only is this money coming from outside the Ch fraternity but there are now 2000 people who are now aware of CH.

I will get the OUCH employers form posted with the campaign so that they know what they are contributing to.

Maybe some else could do the same??

The main point here is that the funds arent always coming from the same pockets, and it also creates CH awareness.

Thanks Michelle! Here is what Barbara said about the money coming from Candia bought the same as you said.
You can put it on your credit card in Paypal and PP will do the exchange thingy. Or if you send money we have to go to a bank or travel agency that exchanges the money, Make sure you put your money in US Dollars or we'll end up with some strange amounts. I just exchanged some New Zealand money. They sent $140 in NZ dollars. We ended up with about 57 and some change. PP would be the easiest. Money is money so any way is fine :-)

By the way, I get paypal payments from England and Canada all the time. I would think the the Common Market is in the groove too.

Collecting these dollars is a blast!!! :)

I'm getting some strange looks when I say, "Have you got a spare dollar that I can have.....I won't be paying it back either." They hand over the dollar then I tell them what it's all about.....some hand me a few more bucks... :D

I think I'll go to the bar tonight....drunks and their money are easily parted. ;;D It might help if I was 20 years younger but we'll see how it goes... ;;D
