Hi buddies,

just wanted to update about Zaira's conditions:

she is still at hospital (hopefully she will get out on wednesday) she's having 8 attacks per day and docs are going to do a sort of "sleep therapy" on her.
This should make the beast sleeping.
Zazi wants me to say you that she keeps fighting and that the beast won't win! She can feel all of you (us) close to her and wants to thank everyone for this.

C'MON ZAZZA KILL THAT BASTARD! >:(

Thanks for the update, I was wondering if they were going to knock her out for a while again, even if it doesn't stop the beast it will give her body some needed rest. Her mind will will just have to go for the ride, hopefully she will awaken with new strength to fight the beast.

Thanks for the update.......boy 8 hard hit attacks a day is enuff to wear a person out mentally and physically. Yeah.....exactly what is sleep theropy ? I take it they make ya somewhat coma-tose for a few days round the clock for total rest ??? Hope it helps her at least stay strong !!!! Pam that is only coma-tose a few hours a nite

Anything that will help with her strength is a good thing. Just let her know that she is thought about.

Ciao Tina, If I understand well, in the Hospital she takes strong sleeping pills (because she has many allergies to meds indicated for CH). It’s a therapy which has been used by other Italian CH sufferers. In this way the person sleeps “and the beast also”. It does not treats the cause, but at least she comes into normality with blood tests and takes Lithium again. :'( Andrea

They put her on some sort of meds (don't ask me wich!) to make her sleep very deeply.

In Italy I know of Lussi who did it (se is the brave girl who had surgery TWICE (Deep Brain Stimulation). She slept for several days and when she woke up her attaks were half in quantity.
Hope it will work on Zazi as well! Crossing my fingers...

Zazi, i sure hope that the sleep therapy works for you!!!
I ask the Docs here to do the sleep therapy on me once, and they wouldn't do it. They said that they used to do it here in the States, but don't do it much anymore.

I wish you all the best Zazi, and EAT, so that you can have strenth to fight with when you have to!!
