Is there any medical reason that someone knows of as to why some people get hit on the left side or the right side? Mine have always been behind the left eye and on the left side, left nostril, left eye tearing, etc. and I just wondered why not on the right hand side. Then I notice some people are on the right side of their head. Is there an explanation for this, are the attacks the same in both instances, the same horrible things happening no matter what side of the head it's on or is this just one of those things that just happens? I've read people say theirs have switched sides and is there any plausible reason for this. Stuey [smiley=huh.gif]

For the first 23 years I did then I got hit on the right for two years and then back to the left, looks like no matter how hard I try....Im retarded ;;D

Not to soup you up, but you look so young. How old were you when they first started? I hope to meet you one day and would be interested in hearing your personal struggles with CHs. Started chronic at 12 years old and sill am, will be 42 later this year. First 14 years no meds.

Most episodics say they would off themselves if they had to go what I have gone thru, I say no way....Anyone here would learn to deal with it just like I did...you have to!!

Sounds familiar....I'm 41....I remember years...and years...and years.....and years.....probably close to 18 or 19 years without drugs......man...what a bitch!Always been a right sider. How bout this..something to think about.....right handed..right sider...left handed..left sider? I should post that...would be interesting. I will post that.

I am right handed and get them on the left side so I don't think that theory will work. My seizures also start in the left region of my brain for some reason.

mine switch all the time. Never during a cycle, but i get's 'em on the left and right side, apparently randomly. Never know which side it's going to hit on next cycle.

It was only after I was diagnosed as retarded that the clusters hit on the left side. I got smarter and still got them on my left side, so I went back to being retarded.

Doc says if they should switch to my right side, she still wants me to bring in my coloring book.

Can't stay inside the lines.

Mine are always on the right...maybe about 5-10% of them are on the left? Same goes for my NDPH...always right sided. Every once in awhile I'll go through a couple days with the pain on the left side. It's weird though. Just randomly one day the left side will have all the pain. Might stay that way for a few days, and then bam all back to the right side again. Mutant for sure!!
