Wow Luke, yours must have taken the slow route up the street to my house about 5:30 this morning... Oddly enough, my trex pill only took about 10 mins or so to kick in.

God I need sleep...

Thankfully I should be getting my O2 today! *fingers crossed* [smiley=sayyes.gif]

Not much sleep here. I finally had to get up to stop them.
Not much sucks worse than to run out of O2 in the middle of a ha, once you get it all nice and intensified...

Hate to abandon ya, Supe, but my cycle has mercifully ended and 10p is my bedtime when I gotta get up at 5a to go to work.

I'm usually up on weekends, though. See ya then if yer still sleepless. I'm hoping I don't see you then, though. That'll mean you're finally sleeping.

Hoping the zzz's will come your way soon.

Glen

I get alot more with O2 now than I did w/out it. But it's still hard to get any "quality" sleep when that little bitch is knocking at my head every hour!

That is one horrible feeling. Happened to me a few times. Wonder if I can get the local 24 hour convienient store to start selling o2? Christ, they sell alcohol, propane and gasoline.  ;;D

Superpain,

Have you tried melatonin, just out of curiosity?  I do believe that has helped a good number of people with nocturnal attacks.  Just a thought!  Hang in there, dude! :)

No I haven't...

I think I must've done something to upset Mr. beast...
I've already got hit pretty hard twice, and the shadows are very menacing this evening. Tightness in the base of the skull and side of the head, jabs and stabs, squinty eye...

It's like I can hear a train approaching in the distance.

This shit's starting to wear on me.

Do a search for posts on melatonin.  You can read a variety of people's experiences with it that way.  Might be worth your while.  It was recommended to me awhile back at a dose anywhere from 9-21 mgs, but I know some people here get by on less.  Dose varies.

I know it is exhausting and wearing, but you just keep on fighting!  We're all here to help each other through this hell.

Oh yeah...and I'm often up half the night, too...so I post when I can between pain and schoolwork! :)

I'll give it a try.
I've got my first neuro appt in over 16 yrs coming up april 6... I figured maybe they figured something out by now that they didn't know then. I think I've pretty much found out what they've learned since then on this board. So hopefully he can prescribe me some of these new fangled meds and knock this fucking devil out of my head! Even if it's just for a few months... I've put up with this shit for a year, and I'm tired of it! I'm starting to get cranky about it!!! >:(

I have to decide if I can go back to work next week before my neuro visit, and I'm just not sure I can go wait tables and be nice to people like I should when they're paying $100 per head. Let alone put up with the slightest amount of bullshit from management. The lack of sleep is what's getting me... The pain, I'm pretty well used to, but the sleep deprivation is making me crazy!

Grrrr....

I think it's time for a xanax. Or maybe 2. I wish I could just knock myself out and have someone on hand to feed me O2 when I start moaning in my sleep.

OK, enough with the pity party... Deep breath. It's all good. :D

I sure hope they can get ya something that'll work.  There's a lot more available these days than there used to be.  Everybody needs to vent sometimes. ;)

Me? I think I'm going a little nuts...I just yelled at the ceiling to STFU because the a-hole living above me will not stop his incessant banging on the ceiling....

Some days you feel like a nut...

<sigh>

Hugz and vibes to you!!!

The melatonin might be a good choice for you then. It did not help me at all witht he HA, but it did allow me to get quality sleep between them.  So that once the beast left me alone I could climb back into bed and actually fall asleep. Meletonin is cheap to, I know you are without insurance.  Try and see if you can find the time released. It seems to work better then the ones that are regular.

Fuck there are times when I get less sleep now then I did when my son was a newborn.  >:(

Sorry I'm grumpy. Beast just left and I'm sore. Feel like I just went through 10 rounds in a boxing ring and lost.  :'( Ran out of meletonin and the two drug stores by my work are out. Guess I will need to track some down this weekend.

PF Wishes to you,
-Tia

Yeah, I've had 2 more good hits in the last 90 mins or so too.

Thing is, I go back to sleep immediately. I just don't get rested, and it makes my body and mind feel ragged.
I'm pretty sure I've suffered from chronic fatigue syndrome on and off since I was 17 when I got chronic epstein-barr virus that led me to have mono and 3 days hospitalization. I usually don't feel rested with less than 10-12 hrs GOOD sleep. And now I'm lucky to get 1/3 of that in shitty sleep in 30 min - 2 hr intervals. I don't have to get up early, but I do have to get up to make the HA's cease. If I even try to take a nap in the day time I get hit within an hour. I feel like a zombie with the devil knocking at my door.

Probably don't feel rested cuz you're never getting into REM sleep and beyond.  I know that's my problem.  Even if I do sleep for 5 hours straight, I am never rested.  The jury is still out on my rheumatology-related problems because I wouldn't go back to the rheumatologist after my last hospital stay. (Got sick of Dr's)  However, we do know that I have fibromyalgia at least since I was 17, too.  I find that it really is rough trying to sleep with either fibro or CFIDS.  Certainly does compound the problems!  And then the lack of sleep really aggravates those conditions a lot, too.  What a vicious cycle!

I would really seriously consider trying the melatonin, though.  Maybe for you a certain dose would help you sleep through the night without getting hit.  Never know!!
