A little bird told me that a lot of the pharmacy students are not getting responses from their adopted cluster sufferer. They have had to put their discussions on hold until the students play catch up with the sufferers who are not returning their emails.
I think this is such a shame. Here we are having this wonderful opportunity to educate and share information, and already it seems to be verging on failure. COME ON GUYS!!!!!! It takes me all of 3-5 minutes to answer my student. She emails me at the very most once a week, some times every two weeks.
If this is something you volunteered for, I don't understand why you are not being responsible. If you can't be bothered, let them know so they can find a new sufferer, who wants to share and educate.

I don't often get mad here, but this really irks me...we always complain that people don't understand us....and when we get this amazing opportunity...we can't hold our end up.....it's no bloody wonder people don't understand.
ANSWER YOUR STUDENTS!!!!!!!!!!!! Or get off the pot and let someone else take your place who will.

My student also said there were delays from some of the people in the pharmaceutical graduate study. However, she also said that there are about five other patient syndromes being surveyed in addition to cluster headaches. She had no knowledge of cluster headache participants being slow to respond, but she did confirm that some of the other study groups were having poor response rates.

I wish we knew exactly how many of us were selected. I know of at least one person selected who does not post regularly on the message board.

Not sure if the non-responsive individuals can be discovered due to the Privacy Issue........but a note was sent to my "little birdie" to try and find out who(m) they are. Anyone failing to respond will be tarred, feathered, caned, deleted and otherwise SHUNNED........if identified.

My student never got back to me after telling me he would e-mail me in January. I'd be glad to answer if I knew the questions.

I've been speedy to reply, but I was so paranoid after the first post about slowpokes that I actually ran in to work on a weekend because I thought I had missed an email from my pharmacy student that week.

Nope - they were on spring break! Whew!

Sorry, Sam. You're out of the running for this one. They (Wingate) started putting this together last August or so........and the Emailing began in early January. Stay tuned for next year, assuming the program pans out. We have no idea what they're going to do with the answers/data they collect.

I signed up for this study but never heard from anyone.

I just wonder if my junk e-mail filter put the mail in the junk box and since I didn't recognize the name, perhaps I discarded it.

Maybe if they identify themselves some way, those of us later doers will be responsive.

I hope I'm still involved as I would love to correspond with a student.

So far, this deal has been great for me. Good correspondence, and a bright student willing to learn who asks more than 'just the basic questions'. I inadvertantly discovered that their email filter will block some content, but all is well. Exceeded my expectations.
