As many of you know, Svenn, our Mad Viking, is slated to go in for a stent procedure on Thurs. Well, as you may also know, he got a flu bug this weekend...feeling pretty rotten, lots of coughing...
Today, his wife, Bente called 911...he was having chest pains, so paramedics came to his house to check on him. He was given the usual meds......Svenn called it "angelstuff", and the chest pains have subsided.
He is NOT in any immediate danger.....the paramedics gave him gave him rohipnol.......said it was sposed to make him sleep, but it wasn't working.....till he fell asleep talking to me...BUT..they cannot do the procedure this Thurs if he is not well...SOOOO, once again, please use the vibe-line, so Svenn can have this procedure, and come back strong and ornery.

Svennn.....no milk products, lots of tea and honey, stop smoking, and get well...you have ONE MORE DAY, and that's it...

Feel well, Svenn! :-/

Svenn, ask them about the stents with medicine on them...okay?

My Dad recently had three put in and he's doing great.

Steve, we just learned about them in anatomy class today. Our prof said the stents have chemicals on them to prevent clotting around the stent. They just came out in the last 6-8 months he said. He described a couple of different methods they have these days to prevent clotting around the stents, but the stents with chemicals on them are the newest and sound great! Glad to hear your dad is doing well.

Boston Scientific makes them and Johnson & Johnson bought a company that makes them. Prevents clotting again around the stent. That had been a problem.

Just spoke to Svenn....his appointment is cancelled for today.... no procedure . When he is well, he can call and make a new appointment. Things are a bit diffent in Norway....he may wait another 4 mos. Please send him your best wishes,vibes, juju...all the above, for another quick appointment, and to heal fast, and to cheer up...this sux..... :-/
He is going back to bed.

On a positive note, I know of a CH sufferer who had a stent fitted, and of course it could be coincidence but his CH was vastly improved afterwards. Better circulation of 02 maybe?? You never know!

I am angry FOR you Svenn.

Like Charlie said, it's not bad enough to have the horror of CH...now you get this flu after waiting so long to have the operation. Only to have it cancelled because of it. Damn!!!!!!

Even though we all call you a Viking, I have a sneaking suspicion you don't feel all that macho right now and I am so sorry for this turn of events.

If I could win the lottery, I would send for you to have your surgery here in the U.S. Then we could all come and see you in the hospital and make you laugh til you kicked us out of the room.

I'm off now....off to buy a lottery ticket.

First thanks a lot for the wibes and all.Its really a nice feeling to know that you have a lot of friends FRIENDS out there.
Have been depressed in a way because i could not do the heartprosedure because of the damn flue.
i really had my body,mind and soul on that procedure.
Guess its whas not my turn this time

I did call the hospital today for new appointment but they said that i has to wait until start of april to do that.
Marz and almost all april was full they said.
Just dont hope i have to wait to long this time.

So now you know where i am today
