Our dear friend, Svenn is in need of some vibes.

Unlike here in the states, when you need an operation, you get put on a waiting list, of sorts, till they can schedule you in. As most of us know, Svenn has had problems with his heart. He has had a heart attack. It was decided that that he needed either a stent, or, depending on what they find, a bypass.

He was originally told that it could be up to four months before it could be scheduled. He was lucky. He got a fairly close date. That date is this Thursday, the 18th.

Now, today, a possible problem has developed. He has the flu. DAMNIT! Why is this further problem been thrown into his path to recovery?

Let's send some massive vibes and prayers to this cantakerous old fart (loveable though he is). Send them for a two-fold purpose. One, that he is over the flu in time for his surgery, and two, that all goes well with the procedure.

Lets not let our dear viking down.

Seriously Svenn, my prayers go out to you that you will kick this flu in time for the surgery. And that all will go well with the surgery. Drink tons of fluids, take vitamin C, and get plenty of rest. Everything will go fine.

Svenn, you cantankerous ole Mad Viking.....ya gotta get over this flu, so you can have your procedure on Thurs....
and, after all, I am in charge...........you told me so..... :-/

Soooo, get rest, take lots of fluids, and a shot of Chivas would not hurt one lil bit, and get yerself well....

As a fellow Scandinav and human being prayers to Svenn from me as well.

As Chuck said, let's pray for recovery of the flu in time for the surgery. And let's pray that the procedure goes well.

But we should pray for one more thing. The waiting lists can be so damn frustrating. I know. I live in Svenns neighboring country and we've got the same stupid waiting lists. So let's pray that the doctors will speed up their work so Svenn can get the treatment he so badly needs.

My very best healing vibes are now speeding across the Atlantic to you. Make yourself a nice bowl of "sotsuppe" (not sure of my spelling, hot fruit soup) and curl up in your favorite blanket. Go heavy on the symptom-relieving OTC drugs if allowed, and rest easy knowing that about at least a platoon of CH-related guardian angels are hovering over you the next week or so. Everybody here is pulling for ya, buddy!
