There is such a curse between my dear friends and often I feel helpless... What could I say to a friend who says she has a few time life left?

And the worse thing is that this is true...

She is 30 yrs. old, she has had a difficult life (after a sexual assault)... she will not survive... she has a bad cancer.... please, pray for her...

There is no hope for many people in this world and I have a huge desert in my heart...

Don't forget that the true curse would be to die friendless, at least you know that will not happen. Just being a friend is the best that you can do in some situations.

Truely sorry for your friend. It's always so unfair when this happens to, well anyone.

I can only support the advice from Paul. Keep showing her your support. And that will comfort her in this life and the next. :'(

I know how you feel Z, two years ago I lost one of my best friend for a brain cancer... he was 25yo... I've been angry with Lord for long time...

Tell her how much you love her... once again.

My prayers go out to her also. I've lost friends to cancer, AIDS, drugs. No matter how bad we think we have it someone always has it worse.

I have lost most of my family to cancer and it is a cruel way to live and die. She is blessed to have your friendship. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

Zazi,

I am so very sorry for you. It is so hard to stand next to someone you love knowing that they will soon be taken from you. But the fact that you are standing beside her says so much about the love that you feel. For only a true friend will be there no matter what. All of the energy that I have is yours and hers to use. Be strong, my friend. And like Lucino said tell her you love her again.

Prayers and thoughts for you and your friend, Zazi! I like what Paul said...just being a friend is sometimes the very best thing we can do. It is very very hard to watch someone you love suffer and die, but I read something somewhere else that gave me a lot of comfort. It was something along the lines of, "Perhaps they had something more important to do in the next life." The love and memories will live on forever. Cherish every moment. You and your friend's lives are already better because you have each other.
