Title: pulsing pain
Post by brad1215 on Mar 13th, 2004, 2:58am
I am new here, but since finding this site it has helped me no to feel alone with my CH's. I never thought about what my wife had to go through while
I was in my cycle. I just went through one about two hours ago and finally asked my wife to refill my prescription for imitrex spray. Of all times to have an attack, My daughter is having a sleep over with her best friend. My daughter has yet to see me while I am having the dance with the demon. I had to go soak in hot water. This is starting to not be as effective.  I hope that this cycle is almost over. So much for being PF( 3 years). Lucky for me that I am only hitting a 7 on the kip meter or a medium on my wifes and my meter. We just learned the kip meter tonight. Well gotta go and get my 1 1/2 hours of sleep before I get to dance again.

Hang in there.  It will end.  Glad you found us, and hope you can find some good info that will help.  Check out the O2 information.  It can really be a lifesaver.  Check out the preventatives too.  You didn't mention whether or not you use any.  Verapamil and Lithium have been a
Godsend to me.  Hoping for the best for you.

Jerry

Brad,

You might also check out the posts on melatonin.  It seems to work for quite a few here.

Also, when I was in cycle.....I slept in a reclined position.  I had a fear of lying flat in the bed, so I slept on the sofa with several pillows to remain elevated.  You can do the same in a recliner, if you have one.

Hope things get better for you.  Let us know how you are getting along.

PF vibes,

Jean

Welcome and you are definitely not alone. I suggest trying cold or very cool water or anything requiring some diverted circulation. Here is a link to something that worked for me:
