Thanks SOOOO much for posting. My stomach sank when I saw your post but thank God I'm on a 100 mcg patch. This is one of the many reasons I love this message board. I'll check all the patches I put on for leaks from this point forward. Thanks!

I found it on another message board, to be honest. But that message board isn't as COOL as this one...

I believe I may be the one that actually discovered it. Got my script & attempted to open the first patch & you could see the Gel all over the inside...(So it was pretty easy to discover, before it was put on the body & did any harm). Called the Pharmacy. They told me they couldn't do anything and that I would have to call Jannsen Pharmaceutica. Jannsen was nice enough about it...but they told me I would have to get another script from my Doc & get it re-filled. So I get another script and go to the Pharmacy...only they give me the same Lot #. Well guess what...the same thing. Actually they did have one box of a different lot #..but the script was for 2 boxes. So I call Janssen again & tell them it's obviously a Lot # problem...Jannsen tells me that that is almost impossible due to the way it's manufactured. So I go back to my Doctor & show him the Patches...you can see the top of the Patches missed the heat-binding process which normally binds the two pieces of plastic together around the Gel. So He gives me a script for 50mcg to tide me over & shows them to his Jannsen Sales Rep. Well only a month and a half later they recall the Lot #.

BTW...it was real fun trying to explain to my insurance why I'm purchasing all these Patches in one month :o They gave me that smug "Yeah right.....you're just an addict looking to score as much Fentanyl as possible, tone." Fun, Fun, Fun.

BTW 2- I don't use them for Clusters...but for a chronic condition...but they do seem to help when I'm in cycle.

Again...if you use them...it's pretty obvious as soon as you open the foil pouch...if you get any on your skin wash with water & don't use soap.

I checked ASAP when Tina sent me message about the 75 patch. Mine was lot # 0327193 so I am ok. I would of noticed if any was leaking before putting them on. But a very special hug for Tina for informing people who are wearing the patch.
