This is just a heads up warning….something to think about.

I talked to a friend of mine today, he happens to be a personal injury lawyer. I hadn’t talked to him since my little hospital visit. He laughingly asked me if I was going to sue the friend who gave me the zomig tablet and the webmaster of the ch.com site. I told him I didn’t believe I would, but thanks anyway. Then I questioned him pretty closely about the liability of meds which are “forgotten” at someone’s house, and mailed back to them. He said yep….if they have a bad reaction in anyway, they can sue your pants off. They can also sue DJ. They more than likely they wouldn’t win against DJ, because it is an open forum…..but, they could tie him up in court and lawyer fees till he bleeds.

If you’re going to share, just be careful. Make sure the person you are sending the 'forgotten' meds to has a prescription. I have a hard time with this one, because I want to help this family in any way possible, it never crossed my mind to worry about this aspect of the meds.

Thanks for the warning.

As for sueing DJ for having a web site where sharing might be mentioned, I find that pretty far fetched. If I handed you my Imitrex while we were having lunch at Mickey D's could Ronald MacD be sued?

But, I'm not a lawyer. But I do know they will do ANYTHING to make a quick buck.

I'm guessing any Clusterhead who sues another Clusterhead for helping them...won't live long enough to collect

If I ever have what someone "forgot" at my house you can bet your ass it will be in the mail..

That very scenario is why lawyers and judges really make my blood boil. We have now replaced 'personal responsibility' with lawsuits. If the receipient wants to partake of a substance, let them do it... let them be responsible for their bodies... no one forced them to do it... there should not be any lawsuit about it... what a waste of time... stop the madness. There are situations for lawyers, but that should not be one of them.

Lawyers and insurance companies want us to be 'good obedient humans' who live in a sterile non-threatening environment. Freedom is threatened. Time for change, before it's too late.

..please get involved in what is goin on at OUCH (the Organization for Understanding Cluster Headaches) ...this is E-fuckin-Zackly what we been working on....

there are ...vultures.... out there that want to pick our carcasses.... and if we do not protect ourselves.... we will not have the oppportunity to have OUR each-and-several voices heard......

i know this is ....cryptic... but some stuff is happening.... in very important and powerful forums.... that can help US stop suffering...

bottom line: help is on the way..... do not give up... do not give in....

....after all: it's just a *headache*.....

Yeah that's a typical lawyer response and sure we've gotta be careful but I also know what this pain is all about so if I've got it and you need it...

Roxy...I already love you from all the wonderful things I have heard about you from many different people,but I do have to say to everyone that discussions like this, in my little opinion should be kept off the board and talked about in person and not bring any attention that we don't want to this place.

We all try to help each other, we would never want to hurt each other. let's discuss this at the convention and not here.

The reason I am reacting so strongly to this discussion.......

we had a STRANGER a few days ago here, and his very first post was offering drugs to people. WHY???

I say keep these talks and discussions off the board!!!!!!!!

Yup, I think that's all Rox is trying to point out. Not that we shouldn't look out for one another or anything like that, just that we should be sure that we do look out for one another by not endangering anyone or anything regarding the one place we all have as a common home to find support.

Just be careful and make sure even if you know and love someone well, that their family members understand the whole deal as well. Not all of our families understand this stuff, and some could possibly seek retribution, vengeance or restitution if something were to happen to them.
