Title: Anestesia Question
Post by ShariRae on Mar 5th, 2004, 11:18pm
Hi folks,
Just a quick question..I am going in for surgery & have the option of being put out or having a spinal. I would prefer the spinal but have heard of lots of people getting brutal headaches for days afterward. I am so afraid of triggering a cycle with the spinal.Does anyone have experience with the spinal & triggering a cycle? Any opinions or input would be MUCH appreciated..
Huggs to all
Shari

Can't comment on the spinal - never had one. Anesthesia triggered an attack for me. Woke up in the recovery room with a major CH beggin for Imitrex !

Never had an epideral (closest I have had) Trigger a headache.  And when I have my radiofrequency in my occipital nerve the aneathsia did not bother me either, but they did not put me completly under cause they where afrid I would unvolintairly move and that it was too close to the brain stem for them to chance that.

Good luck on your surgery.

Hi Shari
I posted the same same topic a couple weeks ago about anestesia because I was going in for surgery. Most people were not affected by it and I wasnt either. Maybe you could find the post, it was the week before Feb. 23rd.  Sorry, I'm just too damn lazy to look for it right now.
I wish you well and good luck,
Suzy

Thanx folks...The way I look at it, surgery bites as it is, the last thing I wanna do is invite the beast to my recovery!
Huggs & pain free wishes to all
Shari
