6 weeks into cycle now and I just want to frigging sleep.
I'am taking verapamil-Imitrex and still doing the O2. I cant take Melatonin as suggested because of other health issues but any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I remember the doctors telling me 25 years ago that this would go away as I got older, Man are they full of shit!!!.
I no I'am just whinning again but I feel like 45 going on 90.

I just didn't know what to do and took it the last two cycles but got back on this board, read a lot, paid attention and then got another doc.
You sound like you're doing what you can now, but this CH can be cruel. I didn't know what to do either so I don't have much here except, your words sound familiar.

I feel ya :-/ I am going through the same thing, although I can take Melatonin (6 mg). Still no freakin sleep. SO I can't offer any advice, but maybe it would help to know your not alone.

Sorry hun, wish I could help. I am pretty sure that I was up with you doing the midnight dance with you. The Occiptal Nreve treatment has stopped me from rolling on the floor, but they are still bad enough to keep me awaqke and rocking. DAMN there has to be somethign that can help...

Thank you for the words of encouragement.I no we cant sleep and I I am sure in the hell glad there are people to talk to.It sounds kind of bad saying I'am glad there are people out there suffering also but you no what I mean.If it where not for this web site I would have jumped off my Fucking roof along time ago.The only way to get sleep for me is to go get a demerol shot 150cc,I no this is s strong drug and does not really help the Cluster but my experiance has been as soon as my wife brings me home I will lay down wake up 30 minutes later with the beast, but after that one episode I can have at least 8 hours of restfull sleep.so once in a while it is very temting to just go get the fucking shot and say goodnight. Amen to the Pharmacutical company that can come up with a opiant free medicine that we can all sleep on.Thanks again you are all the best.

Randal,

Listen to me (read my type ;;D) carefully, ask your doc if you can taper up to 600 mgs of Lithium while you are taking your Verapamil.....Im chronic and that cocktail blocks more than 90% of my CH's from ever showing up.

For years Ted (From this board) watched me post about this cocktail and finally tried it....He was in fucking heaven for doing so.

Sounds pretty schitty. >:(

The only thing I can suggest is to try sleeping in a recliner. Most of the time I would have at least one less nocturnal attack. :-/

OK Jonny I will do that Monday Morning. Can Lithium be taken along with Imitrex or is there a conflict. Otherwise I will be swollowing that script come Monday Afternoon!!.

Hey there, I feel your pain...I too caught in a cycle...would love to sleep , my husband keeps asking what he can do, I am also ready to literally run to the frigin hospital to get a shot. My thoughts are w/ you and I will check w/ you later . Hang in there... Oh and that cocktail sounds good but my neuro is on vaca and I really dont want anybody else near me... >:(

Update
6 Days on the Lithium cocktail now and Im sleeping at least 5 hours every noght. I only wake up about 1 time now and the severety is half as bad and after some O2 I go right back to sleep. I am still getting around 2 or 3 attacks a day but they are not as bad either. If I can just keep my head up and lose this depression from being in cycle so dam long I'll be fine.
