Hi Everyone!!

I don't know if everyone knows that I'm a piano performance major, but I think a lot of you do. I will be graduating with my degree in May before I start on my nursing career! :)

Anyhowwww I'm in a choir called Essence of Joy. We perform music in the African/African-American tradition such as spirituals, gospels, and traditional African music. It's great stuff! I'm going on tour with them Friday to Sunday, although I'm staying in my own apartment and house at night because I can't have clusters in somebody else's house or on the bus! Friday, we're performing in Johnstown, PA. Saturday we're performing in Phoenixville, PA (right next to home!), and Sunday night we're performing in Mechanicsburg, PA. If you're close to any of these places and want to hear us sing, let me know! Our website is http://www.essenceofjoy.org I'm the one on the bottom right!

My other upcoming performance is my senior piano recital. It is on Saturday, April 24th at 8pm here at Penn State. I know it's early, but I thought I would just put the word out now! I can give directions or more info to anyone who wants it!

Would be fun to meet some of my clusterbuddies at some of these performances!!

Distance sucks.... as Donna said is there any one whom could tape it for you to share with us?

Thanks you guys!!

I'm not sure if my dad is going to record the one concert or not. But I have cds of Essence.

I also have a cd of my last piano recital in November, 2002 that I will eventually get around to ripping so John (jzakhar) can put it on a website for everyone to hear. I'm paying over $100 to have my recital professionally recorded, so I'll be able to put those on the website, too..hopefully!

I'll let you know when the other ones are up online. I haven't had much time or energy lately!

All those voices and you on the piano. Must sound beautiful. Get some gigs here in Motown. Ya'll seem beautiful enough to exorcise demons. We could need you around here for when nursing just isn't enough. Sounds like you can take it to a higher level.

I thought they just taught writing at Penn State.

Aww thanks you guys!! :) So sweet!

Next week while I'm on spring break, I'll put my first cd on the web (with John's help) so that you can hear it! :)

I practiced this morning and memorized a little bit more of one of my pieces...taking me forever this time around! I hate being so foggy and tired all the time!

Anyhow...for my recital, I'm playing works by Bach, Beethoven, Poulenc, Chopin, and Liszt. :)

Here's a couple pics of the dress I'm going to wear for my recital. :) I was a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding in August...but it's a pretty bridesmaid dress...not one of those ones where you go..UGH!!
I hope I can post a pic right...this is my first try!! I did look at how to do it under another thread though!
