Not from ch either, but from all the negative crap that has been going on here lately. Lets remember why we're here people. This is a site devoted to ch'ers and their supporters. We are not here to go to war with each other, we are here to fight the beast. The reason that people don't want to read about the other headache, is because we are sick of telling people about clusters, and then hearing "oh, yeah, my sister used to get real bad migraines, she would have to go lay down even." This (clusterheadaches.com) was supposed to be a place where we (ch'ers and their supporters could come and not have to hear that. I can understand wanting to help someone with other types of headaches, there are plenty of links on the left for ache, elaine's hsg board ( a great board btw), and many others. I love all of you , you all know that, so stfu and get back to work.

Again...

You are the voice of reason....Although, I would like to add that we are here to help people, and if those people DON'T have CH, or don't know it IS CH yet, wouldn't it be in our best interest as the larger group to point em in the right direction first without the added humiliation of flaming them?
Maybe I'm just too soft, or maybe I'm WAY out of line, but common courtesy would seem to make more sense than blatant hostility towards others who would only seek help in any way they can. Isn't that what we did to find this place? Just a thought, not pointing fingers. I personally don't want to hear others in the future saying that they came here for help before they had CH, thought, or were told, that maybe it wasn't CH and were treated badly. It drives people away and reduces exposure to our common goal. Just my opinion.

Yeah..that's how I feel too, Ramon. That's why I try to provide some basic information, and a whole lotta links. At least that's what I tried to do, but when the flaming and attacks got heavy, it really started to get under my skin. A simple, "here's some basic info and here are some better sites you can go to for some more info" would have sufficed.

When I'm on other sites and people are newly diagnosed with CH and don't know much about it, I give them lots of links from this site and from OUCH, and I always tell them they might want to check out this MB to get a lot of knowledge about CH. So it's not just a one way street! :)

I know that when I found this place, first I cried, then I read, then I read some more, I read all about the ettiquette, and the fact that this site is devoted to ch, and only ch. I took me MONTHS before I ever made my first post. Do I agree with you, that flaming is unnecessary? Yes. Since the board has changed it's format, much of it's content has changed as well. When you first come here though, there are plenty of links for places to find help for the other headache types. I'm not trying to bash amen with this post, not at all. I think she is a very sweet lady with a heart of gold, and I like the fact that she is around. I'm not bashing jonny either, he calls 'em like he sees 'em, and I appreciate the fact that when I read something he has to say, I don't have to wonder if he's telling the truth or not. And like I said in the first post, "I love you all." and I do.

Thanks guys. And you have not offended me. Hell if Jonny can't offend me, then I don't think there are many out there who could. Sorry my thread got out of control. I got the information I needed and thanks to those who gave it. From now on, I will PM those who suffer from migraines rather than post on the board where people get offended. It's just that I don't (or didn't) know anyone well enough.
I do however want to say one thing. I don't suffer migraines, I do suffer CH. Having said that, I don't care if people who have CH's pain is worse, that doesn't mean i would tell my sister in-law who was truly in pain and sick, "Oh that's nothin' suck it up, I get CH." she is not one of those people who has ever told me to "just go take an aspirin and lie down" so why would i not try to help her. That's all I wanted to say.

Perspective from a newbie. I stalked this site for some time before posting anything. I have to admit some comments made me apprehensive. Consider the fact that CH would make some course. Consider the fact that we are all human . I came here for many reasons the first and primary one being able to aid ,comfort,and support others . We are unique. Try to remember when the beast first come knockin. These people need support . Dry wit and offhand comments can easily be mistaken for something else when one is desparate. I seen support and comfort. The rest hey, its not the demon. Think I ll stick around. God Bless you all . Been a savior for me. thebbz
