Title: Hi All! Post by joyce_a on Feb 26th, 2004, 10:23am I found this site the other day while I was looking for some information on my new gift (yeah right!). For the longest time I thought that I might have a brain tumor but found out that it was CH.. I thought that I would just check in and say howdy and that I am doing ok (for right now). I am going to the doctors today and am wondering what he is going to say this week..... Take care all! *joyce |

Title: Re: Hi All! Post by echo on Feb 26th, 2004, 10:35am Gald you were able to confirm it was not a tumor. Sorry that you have joined the ranks of "clusterhead". How long have you had these little jewels? Are you chronic or episodic.? |

Title: Re: Hi All! Post by joyce_a on Feb 26th, 2004, 1:27pm Hi Zaira and thanks for the welcome.. It is a nice feeling to know that there are folks out there that understand what I am going through. I live with both of my daughters and my 7 year old granddaughter.. They listen to me when I tell them that I am having a pain all on the right side of my head but that is just about as far as it goes.. Until you experience the pain first hand I don't think that anyone will truly understand what we are going through.. I take perkaset(sorry about the spelling) but it makes me sick for 24 to 48 hours after taking it.. Yes I take it with food but that doesn't seem to help... I haven't had a CH for about a week and I am ever so thankful for that but I know in the back of my mind that I never know or will know when the next one will hit.. I do intend to come here and check out how folks are and what is up.. Take care! *joyce Thanks John.. The best to all that come here so that they are not alone.... |

Title: Re: Hi All! Post by pubgirl on Feb 26th, 2004, 2:14pm Joyce So long as there is CH.com, you're never alone! Might sometimes wish people would shut up, but never really truly. This place has saved a lot of people from a lot of things......doctors mainly ;;D Wendy Percocet? Isn't that a painkiller? They don't work for CH |
||
Title: Re: Hi All! Post by joyce_a on Feb 26th, 2004, 3:10pm The percocet takes the pain away but leaves me very neausu.(geesh i can't spell today).. I got them from my primary doctor before I went to see the Neraolgist.. Maybe I should ask him if there is something else that I can take.. Well I have a 4:30 appointment to find out how the MRI went... I sure hope that they didn't find anything.. I will check back in tomorrow to see whats happening! Take care !! *joyce |

Title: Re: Hi All! Post by r_headache on Feb 26th, 2004, 3:10pm joyce, first of all you need to get to a nero and get some REAL headache meds, get off of the percs ASAP, they could be giving you rebound CH. I was given percs, feoricet and a long list of other meds until I went to see a nero and she gave me the good stuff, Imatrex, Frova, Verapamil, etc. Everyone of us is different and some meds work great for some but not for others. Work with your nero and you may get lucky on the first try, if not, try and try again, just don't give up. Pain free days going out to you! |
