Title: Here we go Post by magpie on Feb 25th, 2004, 3:52pm It will be March in a few days And the monster is behind my right eye trying to get out. Dont you just hate it when you know he's there and its just a matter of time before he blows your eye out? This will be the first year I have any meds for it. Last year I diagnosed myself at the end of my cycle and took all the info I got from this site to my doc. He did not hesitate to give me a script. So I have a bottle of caffergot, I plan to use when I need it. I suppose what I have now is what you guys call shadows (kip 2.) Should I only take this caffergot when I have a full blown attack? My pain Always goes to a 9 or 10 but only lasts about 10- 15 minutes. So I know Im lucky and only twice have I had them twice a year, usually its only March or April for a couple weeks. I know how much worse it could be, By dropping in on this site every now and then. Just to let every one of you know that I have gone thru this since I was about 18 (20 yrs) and always thought it was a brain thing and it would eventually kill me, You all gave me hope and a name for it and help Thank you. Title: Re: Here we go Post by BobG on Feb 25th, 2004, 8:23pm Sorry to hear the beast is rearing it's ugly head again. Hope it's a short cycle. Can't say anything about starting on the Caffergot now. That's something you need to talk to your doc about. |

Title: Re: Here we go Post by bobkip on Feb 25th, 2004, 10:03pm Hey Mag, Consider oxygen. If it works for you it's a salvation. Just do it rifht, 10 lpm withe a non-rebreather maskfor 5 to 15 minutes If it hasn't worked by then, it probably wont. Do stay in touch. Kip |
