I'm having out patient surgery tomorrow. They are going to do a radio frequency thing on my occipital nerve to see if that will give me some relief from these HA. I am praying that it will bring them back down to a manageable level for me as work is having issues with me losing time because I am getting hit. I have not missed a day but they feel that the time out of the day that these fucking things make me non productive is detrimental to my ability to do my job. (Fucking BS to me and I believe that it is the office manager and not the partners that feel this way, but I am desperate at this point and willing to try it.)

The way it was described to me is that they will take a neddle and strip the outside of the nerve to remove the pain receptors. that if this works it will last 9 to 12 months until the cells grow back. Or there is always that chance that it will make them worse. Wooppee!!

I am just putting a lot of faith in this and hope that it helps even a little. When they froze the nerve back in December I was PF for 3 days until it unfroze, so they believe that I will have I higher chance of success.

I will let you all know how it goes.

ok guys I am back and so far so good.

I had a killer f-ing HA yesterday morning, sweats eye swlling, the whole nine yards... So that is what I walked into the doc with. Guess I wanted to make sure that they got me at my worse. Anyway, they did not put me completly under because with them working so close to the brain stem they did not want me to jerk while I was out. So I was really doped up but still able to understand what was happening.

My head is sore where the incision was and my neck as well, not sure if it was because the the weird anlge they had me in or what.

Twice yesterday I got the sweats and thought for sure I was going to get hit, but all I got was some pressure. Its like I could feel my head swell under my skull but the searing jabbing pain did not come with it. Hell I actually slept through the night. ;;D

So far today I have only felt a couple of minor shadows and pressure behind my left eye. I dont know how long it will last. But so far so good. I figure every day is a blessing at this point. And if in a week I am back at where i started then at least I had a week pf.

Thanks everyone. I will still be here everyday. Check ing up so dont think that you got rid of me. ;)
