Title: Re: Question for the PC crew! Post by Mark C on Feb 7th, 2004, 10:06pm If you are on XP you can try booting to "safe mode" (http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2001060608000039)and remove the program there. Or if you have the repair disk for your OS you could boot from it, or you try to contact Fortres (http://www.fortres.com/products/fortres_101.htm) and see if they might help, but I doubt they will without proof of ownership of the PC in question, or you could just re-load the OS and start from scratch. You might try un-plugging the PC and removing the battery from the motherboard for 24 hours, it works by re-setting CMOS information. I also found this (http://internettrash.com/users/dsh/mesg141.html) but it is not for the faint of heart but sounds good on the first read. Good Luck, Mark |
