OMG you guys, talk about PRESSURE!!

THIS is what I'm doing!!!:

12 hours, 47 minutes and 34 seconds. 21 cigarettes not smoked, saving $3.73. Life saved: 1 hour, 45 minutes.

How much life are ya really saving? What is it 5 minutes for every cig they say? O.K. so how much life are ya losing for... the stress of quitting, putting on the extra pounds because your appetite has been restored (heart attack risk) and the potential hazards of being abrasive to unknown individuals because yer nicotine levels are dropping? ;;D ;;D

Michelle, I wish you all the strength and will power in the world. I will not torment you in an attempt to hide behind my own weakness in not yet being able to quit but will cheer you on in your strength!

I support you in your effort and am proud of what you are doing! I am motivated by your strengths and shamed by my own weakness and will work harder towards my own goal of walking away from this vice.

Good for you hon! Hopefully I'll be right behind ya, I'm gonna try again in March. I hope it'll be warm enough by then, so I can fill my time with spring cleaning and getting organized for a garage sale. (to pay for me way to Nashville)

I KNOW you can stay clean Mast. Remember, the withdrawls are worse than quitting many illegal drugs, so just think about how strong you're being! If ya need me, just let me know.

For sure you're saving your life!! Lowering your risk of cancer, heart disease/attacks, stroke, emphysema, COPD...shall I go on?? Those diseases are nasty and well worth dumping the smokes to help prevent!

If you ever want to hear some non-smoking vibes, just talk to me! I been trying to get my dad to quit for all my 23 years! He's a walking chimney! Now we make him go outside in the cold to smoke because he's not allowed to smoke in the house...

Course he still sneaks them in the basement (his office), which is how he wound up lighting the trash can on fire the other day!! Darn him!

Growing up with a cig-addicted parent has made me hate those things!!

So I know you can do it!!! If you want it, you can make it!! :) My mom's success story for quitting was she quit the day she found out she was pregnant with me...she hates cigarettes now, and she doesn't crave them at all! She'd smoked for a long time, too! So some day even the cravings will ease up and you may just wind up hating them! ;) Best of luck!
