Title: New Job (non-CH) Post by Cerberus on Feb 5th, 2004, 10:20pm Ok people, I officially have one week in as of Today (my first check @ the new place). As some of you know I have started working @ the Janesville Wisconsin store soon to be franchising within the same corporation that has screwed (with no lube) so many of my former co-workers many of whom have STILL not found reasonable employment. AND THE VERDICT IS...........I hate it. >:( Oh yeah the work is easy enough, and I actually have LESS responsibility for the same amount of pay (remember, I have lost nothing out of this) I'm sure, however, that things will soon boil down to the fact tha I get paid WAY too much for what I am required to do. Thing is........everything I was trained to do has been thrown out the window, nothing is done according to "corporate" standard and soooo much available space and movement is wasted. Things that should be stored or held in your station are WAAAAAAAAAY down at the opposite end of the building. Things that the serving staff have no need for are not kept in back where we can get them, no they are stored in front meaning I have to get in peoples way physically to replenish my supplies. Although I get along with 99% of the crew I have already been involved in an altercation with one certain member who has NO knowledge of my responsibilities and the general manager has all of the personality of a box of rocks. I have queried many of the staff and including myself (i've met him before) all agree that none of them can remember a time that he has smiled (none of em including the mentally challenged prep cook that has been working for him for 16 yrs. This guy is not human he has literally NO personality whatsoever. All this aside, I am SCREWED when my next cycle starts, there is no place to keep my O2 bottle...as if there were allowance for time for me to actually have to use it. I could possibly get a moment or two to run and take a quick trex shot but would immediately have to return to the line for duty. In short, no apparent understanding for a medical situation. My plan so far is (my only option really) as soon as possible look for a job where I'll be afforded at least enough time to handle my CH business and still remain marginally within my pay range (a long shot at best).......any suggestions? seriously fuqed..
