Ok folks, I broke through and we have a chance at a meeting with the Secretary of Health & Human Services. To guarantee our success in obtaining a meeting date I really need the assistance of those of you active in advocating on our behalf.

A public speaker or well-healed, politically-correct person I am not. I do best by making thing happen and problem solving. So I am calling on anyone that has the info and the subtle personality to assist wit several items.

1) Compilation of a fax to the Secretary requesting the meeting. This fax should include the reason for the request, pertinent phone number(s) and the organization(s) represented.
2) A small committee of persons willing to attend the meeting with the Secretary to articulate our concerns, needs, and failures of the insurance and pharmaceutical industries in meeting those needs.

Once the fax is received at the Secretaries office, our meeting will be placed on his schedule [currently about 2 months out]. I for one would like to see us have this meeting and hopefully have something positive to report at the convention in Nashville.

Great opportunity to be heard! I wish I was the type of person needed...like 357, political correctness isn't my strong point. ;;D
