As everyone knows there are members of our family that can not get around on their own or will be kept from the convention due to hard times that show up at the last minute due to no fault of their own.

We are asking this family to step up to the plate yet again and help out. Please understand we are not asking anyone to provide a free ride for anyone but a helping hand to help as many of the family to get together as possible and enjoy something that many of us have in the past.

What we are proposing is that a paypal link be set up for donations to ASSIST in helping people get to airports and back home, help cover registration fees if they can get their own transpertation or even help pay part of the transpertaion to the convention and back. We would also be looking for people willing to travel a little extra in their own cars to pick others up and help them get to the airports or even offer a ride down and back.

If this sounds like something that this family should do please post to this link so that we can go to the board and make an official request to make it happen. Any monies that are left over would be used for the next years convention to help out as well.

SO LET US KNOW, LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD!!!!

Sounds like a good idea. Sounds like it should be two seperate programs. Those able to help financially and a sign up list for those who could help with transportation from certain points.

Thanks for the idea kid.....any ideas would be a huge help.....comon family....This is our convention.....we all make it happen and we all make it work....the more that are there the better it will be...

Here is an email address that is going to be used for all convention information. If you are going to offer a ride please send me an email stating what state you are driving from so that we have the information and can start working on the car pool end of things. This email address will also be available to anyone who has questions and sugestions.

How about a list or like a sign up sheet for those who
are going but would be willing to share a room with
another person or couple to share the cost of the room?

This worked well for me last year,I had decided not to go
then at almost the last minute,someone's roommate
backed out.By splitting the cost of the room we were
both able to go.

Thank you for everyone that has give a response to this.

I hope to see many more even if it is negitive. I need all the responses I can get so I know if I should go to the BOD with this idea or not.

OK...........I can donate $ 20.00 ta help others afford to git there ! What's the rest got ta say ech ? Still not sure of what day we will leave cuz of family to visit before or after the convention...but at least I can help this way for sure !!!!! Happy happy helper Pam
